stix Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Anyone watching? Feisty start! Seems both want it anyway.
Jimothy Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Seems weird seeing it being played at Villa Park instead of Wembley or Cardiff.
stix Posted 12 August 2012 Author Posted 12 August 2012 at Hazard.....some tekkers are goood...some tekkers are baad!!
Jace Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Forgot it was on cheers guys! Not liking it at Villa Park though doesn't have the same feel to it without Wembley and Man United

stix Posted 12 August 2012 Author Posted 12 August 2012 Bit harsh on Ivanovic to be fair, one foot was raised but he still won the ball.
Jimothy Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Kevin Friends had a nightmare minute. How that was a foul on Savic by Torres I have no idea, Savic elbowed Torres in the face. And then I don't think Ivanovic's tackle was a red card, yellow but not red.
EnderbyFox Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Can see why it was given. Ref should have already called the foul for what Savic did to Torres previously though
Guest Mee-9 Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Awful refereeing. First with Savic elbowing Torres, then the sending off?!
Libertine Dream Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 And so the refereeing debacle carries on for yet another season.
dirty fox Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Someone has already edited his wiki page, haha "Kevin Friend (born 8 July 1971[1]) is an English professional football referee, based in Leicestershire, who officiates primarily in the Premier League. His most notable refereeing appointment to date is the 2012 FA Community Shield, scheduled to be played on 12 August 2012 at Villa Park, Birmingham. The match will be contested by Chelsea and Manchester City. He sent off Ivanovic for no reason in the community shield final and proceeded to be a useless c*nt for the rest of the first half."

Fox92 Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Was a red card IMO. I said it straight away. Was slightly high, did have potential to cause an injury. Hazard's dives though
Fox92 Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 I'm not convinced by Chelsea at all, don't think that they are strong enough to win the League. Tevez was good. He looks more fitter and in better condition. Top player, the best at Manchester City for me. Great goal.

Don't know how one game can base an opinion on whether Chelsea will do well or not.

Don't know how one game can base an opinion on whether Chelsea will do well or not. Of course, it isn't, but other people seem to do it, so why not? (I did actually mention in the other thread, it's only one game though).
