I was expecting some in depth allegorical commentary about how the KP Stadium mirrored the Circus Maximus of ancient Rome.

Pretty sure they said they would be building a purpose built arena for it outside the stadium in the press release

Probably right "The event, to be held in a purpose-built outdoor showcase within the grounds of King Power Stadium"

In my mind I took it as the grounds being inside, rather than the car park.

I'm sure these world class fighters will be well impressed fighting in a big top down in the car park. FFS
