Guest shearfox Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 Northern Ireland lost 2-0 away to Russia Republic of Ireland 1-0 down at half time in Kazakhstan Who are Kazakhstan?
Jimothy Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 The Republic need rid of Trappatoni, he has an odd philosophy on football. With Duff retiring this was a perfect chance to bring in his natural successor, McClean, but he persists with playing Simon Cox out on the left. His excuse for doing that at the world cup was that Cox once scored in a friendly from that position when coming on late on. I presume it's still the same. So a striker is a better option on the left than a left winger, who will create chances and make the team more balanced, because he once scored a late goal in a meaningless game. Ireland losing to Kazakhstan is a joke, shouldn't be happening.
foxesfan1989 Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 Sounds like St Ledger (among others) is having a shocker.
foxfanazer Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 Who are Kazakhstan? You've never seen borat?
Guest shearfox Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 Google it. ROI losing is pretty much a massive shock...
purpleronnie Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 It is a shock (if it happens) but its such a horrible place to get to and play that I predicted a draw.

I am Rod Hull Posted 7 September 2012 Author Posted 7 September 2012 Luck o' the Irish an all that. Too right. I`m thinking of watching Wales v Belgium instead of England, two up and coming teams, could be a cracker.
ScouseFox Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 England team: J.Hart G.Johnson, J.Terry, J.Lescott, L.Baines J.Milner, S.Gerrard ©, F.Lampard, A Oxlade-Chamberlain T.Cleverley J.Defoe Is how Sky expect them to line up. Cleverly the only question for me, still can't work out what he's done to be playing for England.

Tom17LCFC Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 If that's the team glad the Ox is starting again, reckon he'll have a blinder. Will be interesting to see how Gerrard and Lampard do together under Hodgson.

foxfanazer Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 Not a penalty for me but lovely finish by Lamps
Guest shearfox Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 England have started this like a premier league match, very fast, closing down and direct.
foxfanazer Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 Loving Cleverly and Chamberlain in the team
