I know we were playing a poor side but I thought we looked so much better without having to carry an out of sorts Wayne Rooney. An in-form Rooney should always be in the side but that hasn't been the case for at least 12 months and we looked well-balanced today without having him as a passenger.

very lucky win for Ireland i see, England were superb against Moldova, they were in one word awful.

Ireland were poor. All not well since the Euros - think the players have lost faith in Trap. McLean has slagged his decisions on Twitter already tonight.

hadnt we used all our subs already? sorry if im wrong.

We had but going down to 10 men when winning 4 nil with 10 or so to play or potentially making an injury worse?

Good performance by England, but I would imagine most will go there and do the same.

the only downside was ITV's coverage (as usual) and andy townsend wetting himself over milner? Did he watch the game? Then theres Mr Chiles...asking 'are there any easy matches or its it a myth'....did he watch the game?

Professional is the term I'd use. I've seen several England sides go away to smaller countries and labour to a narrow victory.

Last night they seemed up for it and determined to finish it early and clinically.

You forget Lee Dixon an absouletly useless pundit, he gets asked a question and talks about something completly different.

Finnegan- do you think Coleman missed a trick last night by not starting with King?

With Allen, Collison and Ledley out, and with King in excellent form, I thought he might have got a chance...

Bad start for Wales anyway. Will be interesting to see if this Belgian side can fulfil their potential...

scottish fans making a heck of a lot of noise, looks like practically everyone standing when I was watching.

It was deathly silent in the parts i was watching. Standard fare for their draw, really needed to win that game to kick start their campaign in a tough group.

As for England it was a great result however there are tougher games to come. It always hard to tell where we are in terms of progression during qualifying as historically we tend to be highly efficient and lose precious few games during this period.

The Scottish fans are the best in the world, they have to be to go and pay to watch that shite year in year out....

Too true legends all of them...

Certainly puts some of our fans' complaints about very little to shame.

A point for Scotland against Serbia isn't bad at all for them, people want Levein gone and I don't blame them but after today Scotland should be fairly happy with the result, Levein just plays the wrong players, I also think deep down some Scotland fans are pissed because Steven Fletcher has decided not to play for them anymore.

Also im really looking forward to see how Belgium progress about time they qualified for another World Cup, with the players they have at such young ages I reckon they could be a force in European International football in a couple of years, I would take their defence over England's anyday.

Does anyon follow the south american qualifying section?

A little bit, because there are a lot of people where I live that do.

Huge win for Colombia over Uruguay yesterday.

I will most likely watch Ecuador-Chile on Tuesday, a massive game.

I'm really surprised to see Paraguay struggling so much this time around.
