Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 http://experimental361.com/2012/10/10/report-the-first-10-games-2/ Fantastic document here. The headline from our perspective probably being: "Leicester have faced almost 5 fewer shots on goal per match than the average side" - and no goals conceded down the right from open play yet. Apologies if already posted elsewhere.
TrentFox Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 One heck of a piece of work. Can't help thinking he needs to get himself a girlfriend, though ....
Kitchandro Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 Wow. Extensive. He did all that research in and yet my favourite part was the little subbuteo men.
Libertine Dream Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 Great research and article. Like it when people produce things like this
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 christ, didnt realise we were so clinical at home, I could swear thats not what ive been watching...
Guest MattP Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 What good read that was, shows how brutal our defence is. And some people think selling Bamba or Peltier was a mistake. Laughable.
Kyle_Le_Don Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 Super fakin duper job... maybe a bit early but I think im gonna put a few cheeky bets on ;-)
Danno Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 Does down the right mean our right side, or the right side to the opposition?
Haydos Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 Does down the right mean our right side, or the right side to the opposition? Our right I imagine.
Mark_w Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 Our right I imagine. Well thank god Marbelladave spotted that issue so soon.
Zingari Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 I can't help feeling we need to work more on our "languidly clinical" aspect of our game on the training ground .
Guest ttfn Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 Well thank god Marbelladave spotted that issue so soon. No, you don't understand, we've been sussed out. We got hammered by Bristol in our 2-0 win. You're a complete philistine for thinking that a comfortable 2-0 win to give us a fifth straight victory represents satisfactory progress.
dynamark Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 That is very good useful stuff for the manager and staff to consider on the oppostion. have a look at Birmingham- no goals in the first 15 mins all the goals from the same area,no headed goals, several last gasp efforts.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 From the look of those defensive stats Kasper needs to get his finger out of his arse and we'll be almost unbeatable
Corky Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 The "not failed to score yet" stat is very encouraging. In fact, since Pearson came back, we've only failed to score in four league matches (Brighton away, Forest home, Peterborough away and Burnley home).
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 The "not failed to score yet" stat is very encouraging. In fact, since Pearson came back, we've only failed to score in four league matches (Brighton away, Forest home, Peterborough away and Burnley home). The football season just inst the same without the Standard 1-0 home loss to Burnley.
TrentFox Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 I can't help feeling we need to work more on our "languidly clinical" aspect of our game on the training ground . "Nigel pearson's languidly clinical army ... Nigel pearson's languidly clinical army ....."There. That's the chant for Brum. That'll catch on, no problem !
Father Ted Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 What good read that was, shows how brutal our defence is. And some people think selling Bamba or Peltier was a mistake. Laughable. Exactly my thoughts... 0 goals conceded from down the right side. Says it all about Peltier.
Mark_w Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 Exactly my thoughts... 0 goals conceded from down the right side. Says it all about Peltier. Says nothing about Peltier, it says it all about De Laet.
Zingari Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 "Nigel pearson's languidly clinical army ... Nigel pearson's languidly clinical army ....." There. That's the chant for Brum. That'll catch on, no problem ! LCFC = Languidly Clinical Football Club
Zingari Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 One heck of a piece of work. Can't help thinking he needs to get himself a girlfriend, though .... preferably a languidly clinical one ?
TrentFox Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 LCFC = Languidly Clinical Football Club Clever. Beating myself up that I didn't think of that !!!!!!
nickelbyfox Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 LCFC = Languidly Clinical Football Club Hahahahaha good one!
cc_star Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 That's interesting, good to see the stats back up what we can see and that sales of Mills, Bamba & Peltier has had positive impact. I must say it's down to the pressing which takes an enormous work ethic from the whole team, starting with Nuge & Vardy not giving defenders an easy pass, to the midfield putting a shift in every game & of course the defence doing an amazing job We'd be well clear at the top without the individual errors that saw us drop points in a few games too & without the AWOL Pelts & Bamba we're laughing.
