Leicester_Loyal Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 For racially abusing Marvin Sordell. http://www.goal.com/...ce=breakingnews EDIT: Just popped up on SSN that the lad admitted to verbally abusing him, but he didn't use any racial slurs. So has this lad just been banned for calling someone a cvnt?
Leicesterpool Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 What ever he's done is wrong, but banning a 13 year old come on!?
Leicester_Loyal Posted 7 November 2012 Author Posted 7 November 2012 What ever he's done is wrong, but banning a 13 year old come on!? If it's for racial/homophobic stuff etc. then he deserves the ban. Some 13 year olds get into much more trouble than you'd think.
Mack Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 He's only repeating what he's heard down there thinking it's clever etc.
Leicesterpool Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 Well at the age of 13 they should give him a warning, but ban him for good if he does it again.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 What ever he's done is wrong, but banning a 13 year old come on!? I think the club have done well. He has been banned for an undefined amount of time but they are putting him on a club funded course for multi-cultural and racial awareness. I suppose they have looked at his age and hope to educate him where his parents have obviously failed.

ADK Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 I don't particularly like Millwall historically but they are doing a decent job of trying to improve their fans behaviour.
Voll Blau Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 If he's been racist or whatever, he deserves it. If not, the club are being bullies because they know a 13-year-old kid giving it the big'un can't stand up for himself. Yes, this lad may be a bit of a twat but it's a bit out of order for the club to flex its muscles against a child for something 90% of football fans have done at one time or another.
RonnieTodger Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 If he was racist or not, it's pretty clear that he'd be pretty unwelcome in most football grounds. None of us would want to sit near people like that. Alright, if he did just call him a c*** then by the book he shouldn't be banned permanently. But who cares, he's obviously a little nobhead.

He has not been banned permanently. He was also made to write a letter to Sordell apologising for his actions which Sordell has graciously accepted. Credit to Sordell for that.
purpleronnie Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 Blimey the English don't like swearing do they?
Corky Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 The education idea is a good one. If he does it again after that then there really are no excuses.

I suppose they have looked at his age and hope to educate him where his parents have obviously failed. Agree completely. We've all said stupid things when we were younger, primarily due to ignorance and not understanding the implications of what we're saying. The best course of action is exactly what Millwall have done; a short ban and an awareness course. If the kid understands what it is he is saying, and the reasons that it's not ok, then he's less likely too. I shudder at some of the things I used to say as a schoolkid, thinking them funny, when today, I'm more than aware that they're hurtful without any sense of humour behind them at all.
Jon the Hat Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 Blimey the English don't like swearing do they? **** no.

NiftyFox Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 Bets he will be on the Jeremy Kyle show in 3 years.
kingfox Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 Typical Millwall, they are grown up to be hard nuts. This lad has just decided to start early.
Danno Posted 7 November 2012 Posted 7 November 2012 Bets he will be on the Jeremy Kyle show in 3 years. Being a Milwall fan it's almost a certainty
