Bayfox Posted 9 November 2012 Posted 9 November 2012 Nail on the head! I wonder if that clown will be going to the police to report members of the music industry?! I somehow doubt it. This clown Peter Herbert is in danger of undoing a lot of hard work that's been done by various bodies over the last 20/30 years to eradicate racism. This, i'd never heard of this bloke until a week ago and now he's worked out the football band wagon can make him famous he is everywhere. Spurs have claimed this word back as something to use in what they see as a positive manner, i suppose it started in irony but they have now turned it to be something unique to them. All this really is divisive, 1st a black footballers union, i them presume a jewish football union, followed by a black, jewish, gay football union I guess. I wish he would just crawl back under whatever rock he escaped from in the 1st place. And at the risk of offending people, I think we live in a much more tolerant world now, in this country anyway, but just because people don't say it out loud doesn't stop them thinking it. So does all this really make a difference or does it lead to more hardcore, hardline racism in the end?
act smiley Posted 9 November 2012 Posted 9 November 2012 Of course you don't You're a moron Its still a bit incongruous, though. A bit like hearing a white guy rap about his niggaz or something. I can understand why some Jewish people may feel uncomfortable with it.
21st Century Fox Posted 22 February 2013 Posted 22 February 2013 Properly depressing if this was linked to anti-semitism... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21553769
Kitchandro Posted 22 February 2013 Posted 22 February 2013 This is the first time I've read this thread and two questions spring to mind. Why are the scoiety of black lawyers getting involved with a an 'issue' about Jews? And why are they on about racism?
Father Ted Posted 22 February 2013 Posted 22 February 2013 Kind of obvious that Tottenham are getting a kick in everywhere because of anti-Semitism. Common sense really.
bmt Posted 24 February 2013 Posted 24 February 2013 The press shouldnt give this guy the time of day. Ever since he, as the leader of the society of black lawyers, said the FA was "institutionally racist".
The Doctor Posted 24 February 2013 Posted 24 February 2013 If we started chanting 'Paki's Paki's' through pride at our high Asian population at games it wouldn't be acceptable. Don't see the difference between the two. The difference being that we've not a history of being a club with a high Pakistani fan-base, the city just has a high population of them compared to elsewhere. Spurs meanwhile have a strong history of being a club for Jewish people, and as bilo has said the chant shows they're not only accepting of that, but damn proud of it. Peter needs to stop being such a herbert and shut the **** up, all he's doing is unravelling the progress we've made and alienating those who would support his cause. His intentions are fine, but he isn't half shooting them in the foot every chance he gets.
theessexfox Posted 24 February 2013 Posted 24 February 2013 I hope that attack isn't used as ammunition to try and ban the chant and the whole history.

Because there're a bunch of opportunists trying to get their greedy hands on a share of the obscene money flying around football.
