Mack Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 This cheesy backslapping fest is more than a little cringe worthy.
Jimothy Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Moan moan moan moan moan moan moan moan moan moan.
Alexikokopops Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Just watching it now on iplayer. Kompany looked so embarrassed. Agüero was loving it though!
Mack Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 That's the misses, I've got two huge lumps of Gorgonzola in my ears so cant hear a thing
Guest Bilo Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Fair play to Jim & Sue Horton, from Desford of all places. Sounds like a great achievement.
leicsmac Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Muamba represents an utter triumph of modern medical science. Would he have lived even 5-10 years ago if the same thing had happened to him? Edit: Brilliant to see the Desford Centre getting recognition.
Carl the Llama Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Did that old lady just tell the nation to be dicks?
foxesfan1989 Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Are the Olympians / Paralympians really a "team"...just way too diverse for me. Give it the Ryder cup lads.
Jimothy Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Olympic teams winning team of the year? Are they a team? The Olympians are probably going to sweep the main award board anyway. Should have gone to the Ryder Cup team. That weekend will never be repeated.
Matt Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Are the Olympians / Paralympians really a "team"...just way too diverse for me. Give it the Ryder cup lads. They're a European team though aren't they. Isn't it supposed be a British team the award goes to? I'm not 100% sure on that but that what I understood it to be. I do agree though, they aren't a team as such, it's abit of a generalisation, but it was to be expected I suppose.
Carl the Llama Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Bit of a cop-out, made me think of this:
Ozwin Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 The Olympics were ****ing epic though, let them have it man. We'll never see anything like that again.

They mentioned them though so I got the impression they were certainly eligible. Just feels there were probably a few hundred people, which means far too general to be a "team".

Well they made the shortlist as did Chelsea who were made up of numerous foreigners. But at least they are both teams. Some of those Olympians have probably hardly met each other let alone competed together. Surely that's the definition of a team.
EnderbyFox Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 How much does Dave Brailsford look like Ray Wilkins though? Uncanny
leicsmac Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Brailsford wins for turning GB cycling into the Borg. (Think of those funky helmets) Ruthless, clinical, winning.

notnow john Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 BBC going big on para Olympians ,quite ironic as they didn't want to cover the Paralympics and left it to Chanel four!
