Guest Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 I was recently contacted by Laurent Blanc in a professional capacity (he wanted an intensive training session this week) sadly I had prior bookings and couldn't do it. I thought about cancelling so that I could get on the inside with a great ex-player and wonderful manager but my professionalism won through. I think there's a possibility that he'll be in the Prem next season, possibly Chelsea, if he is remember where you heard it first. Man I'll feel sick about it now.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Pffft, I work with Nicky Platnauer every day.
Finnegan Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 I used to work with Ashley Chamber's mam. And I had a cheeseburger with Steve Walsh once.
Captain... Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 I used to work with Scott and Stefan Oakes mum in kwik save.
Bayfox Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 I used to work with Scott and Stefan Oakes mum in kwik save. So did my mother-in-law.
Captain... Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 So did my mother-in-law. When was that? I did a 2 year stint 98-00 part time whilst at college.
SystonFox Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 I used to work with Scott and Stefan Oakes mum in kwik save. Is that the kwik save that's in Birstall that's no longer there?

Captain... Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Does she still live next door to birstall garden centre? Fvck knows mate, I worked with her over a decade ago, when did your mother in law work for kwik save? PM me if you don't want to discuss it on here, just curious if it's someone I worked with.

Bayfox Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Julie rigby would have been around that time. She flited between there and gipsy lane. Was mates with someone called tracey who worked there as well. Tracey was mates with oakes mum. Got me a signed shirt one year and he flogged it to someone else who offered him 500 notes for it. Got me another one. Only muzzy waa suspended the day he got it signed. Gutted.

I had forgotten about Julie, I only worked with her occasionally, as she didn't work weekends, worked with Tracey quite often, she was a laugh, there was also someone who I won't name just in case who was doing naughty things in that little office by the till with the manager, at least one of them was married at the time. Which always made it awkward asking for a price check.
MPH Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 I once ran an errand for Marc North and Ricky hill after they worked on some set peice training on the filbert street pitch before Davd Pleat took them off for an away game. I legged it to Filbert street grocers for a couple of cans of Lucozade and a couple of mars bars. He let me keep the change.

For a minute i thought this was going to say you ran to filbert groceries to fetch the ball.....
