The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 I'm actually supposed to be atttending this game! Her mum lives in Caerphilly so said we'd go down for the weekend. Unfortunately the date is also the 4th round FA Cup weekend, so is bound to be moved unless we lose to Burton and Cardiff to whoever they have. Anyone know through previous seasons how far rearranged league games from the cup weekend get moved back by?
syston_fox Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 Which knob head arranged for the championship to play that day when a good chunk of the teams are likely to feature in round 4? The last weekend in January is normally kept free isn't it? To answer the original question, it could be any time really.

Tom17LCFC Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 We always get Cardiff away in mid-week at least once a season.
syston_fox Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 No they always put league fixtures down Last year there were no games scheduled for the prem or championship for the weekend of 28th jan. That's how it normally is.

Libertine Dream Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 They normally leave 3rd and 4th rounds free
The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 December 2012 Author Posted 29 December 2012 Oh didn't realise this must admit. Pretty sure Cardiff away clashes with the 4th round though. Haven't checked for certain
Bert Posted 30 December 2012 Posted 30 December 2012 It does clash and Cardiff are away to Macclesfield So it's looking like another midweek trip to Wales as one of us will surely progress.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 30 December 2012 Author Posted 30 December 2012 Who've they got in the cup? Can't imagine us losing to Burton again. Highly unlikey any of my mates will be going midweekso if anyone wants to meet for a pint I'll be around baadiff early on
Lobsterboyuk Posted 30 December 2012 Posted 30 December 2012 Oh didn't realise this must admit. Pretty sure Cardiff away clashes with the 4th round though. Haven't checked for certain Cardiff does clash with fourth round proper http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/More/fa-cup-round-dates Shame, wouldn't be able to get to a midweek Cardiff match
The Year Of The Fox Posted 30 December 2012 Author Posted 30 December 2012 Barrow v Cardiff. Can't imagine anything other than a Cardiff win. Massive shame we could get a result down there with a big following
Leicesterpool Posted 30 December 2012 Posted 30 December 2012 what are the odds of leicester drawing cardiff away in the next round!

promised land Posted 30 December 2012 Posted 30 December 2012 If this clashes with the 4th round weekend it could be because the season started later this year due to the Olympics, Paralympics. Therefore a game scheduled for earlier on in August would've been shifted and If I'm right this would be the only available weekend left as after the 4th round the league games always get moved to midweek anyway. Likewise any games cancelled from now on due to frozen pitches always end up midweek as no Saturday fixture is free.
Dan Posted 30 December 2012 Posted 30 December 2012 No they always put league fixtures down They never did it last year or the year before. Very poor organising from whoever was in-charge, there's no way there should be Championship fixtures that weekend.
Dan Posted 30 December 2012 Posted 30 December 2012 Just had a look, the Tuesday after is free yet we actually have Wolves at home on the Thursday so I can't see it being then. They should've made these Tues 29th to save themselves trouble and I'd hope they made ours Tues 29th at Cardiff just so we don't play on a fvcking Thursday again.
Corky Posted 30 December 2012 Posted 30 December 2012 It's ridiculous scheduling, most probably 9 or 10 of those fixtures will be moved due to teams progressing.
Dan Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Play during half term! Already playing Charlton at home.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 January 2013 Author Posted 4 January 2013 Play during half term! Ive heard Pearsons mum and dad are taking him away for the week

The Year Of The Fox Posted 6 January 2013 Author Posted 6 January 2013 Macclesfield v Cardiff. Can't imagine anything other than a Cardiff win. Massive shame we could get a result down there with a big following lol
