To be fair to harmie most 'culture' is pretty shit. Apart from the odd half decent restaurant and the occasional exotic hotty what exactly does foreign culture contribute? Nobody actually likes all those silly tribal dances, the music is mostly terrible and I wouldn't wear a sombrero or a sari if I was thinking straight.

Come on I don't need to spell this out to you. There are no go areas for whites in leicester. There are much more Asians in leicester than white people but as I said I stay away from these areas. I don't enjoy Diwali lights and I don't want to embrace other cultures.

If we got called up for war these areas like highfields , saint Matthew would be deserted.

2. I don't see Leicester as being a segregated city per se. Yes there are certain parts with a lot of Asians but it certainly isn't a no-go area for whites. There isn't any sort of 'them and us' mentality. The only reason there is a high number of Asians in an area like Belgrave is because in the 1970's when many came from places like Uganda it was simply the cheapest place to live. Some of my relatives live in Bradford and they're talking about looking at places like Leicester to see how they can integrate different cultures and communities like we have done.

3. You are embracing other cultures every day. Every time you eat a pizza or a curry for example. To me, it seems you live in fear of different cultures.

As for this who is english thing, I am an Asian who was born and has lived here all my life. If someone asks me my nationality or I had to write it down, it would be British Asian. I feel just as British as you or anyone else. I am proud to be British and anyone who was born in Britain counts as British for me.

With respect you need to look at the latest figures , the Asian community in Leicester is now officially much larger then the indiginous population. I think that is what he meant.

More Asians will start to become involved in football and will become a larger proportion of our attendance as they start to understand what it is to support a team - that's not a dig at their culture but not being taken to football matches means you're far less likely to support your local team.
