Soar Fox Posted 20 January 2013 Author Posted 20 January 2013 What frustrates me is girls who have 3 kids by the age of 24 all with different dads. I know a girl I used to go school with had her first child at 16 next one at 19 and another one at 23. She doesn't work and never has, she's got a nice three bedroom house that's all paid for. She smokes, goes out most Saturday nights. I work but I'm sure she will be coming out with more money than me every month even though she hasn't done a days work in her life.
pSinatra Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 That article is a wind-up & it has clearly worked. There is no way she going on holidays abroad, buying designer clothes & living a life of luxury on the money quoted in the article. The money she actually has in her pocket at the end of the week is around £180. She has to pay for her electric, gas, phone, water, food, children's clothes & nappies, household products, bus fare/petrol, & probably a mobile out of that £180. What is she realistically going to have left at the end of the week? Not a lot!! If she is able to buy designer clothes & afford holidays abroad.........she has GOT to be on the game!!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 I just find it strange so many people get angry when so few immigrants claim benefits. I've not seen anyone mention anything in this thread about them being angry because she's an illegal immigrant What frustrates me is girls who have 3 kids by the age of 24 all with different dads. I know a few of them too. Just hold your head high knowing that what you have is yours and you've worked for it. And in effect, look down your nose at them, cos I sure as hell do

Harry - LCFC Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 These are really strictly inforced aren't they in this country?! They're well meaning rights, but half of them aren't necessary. I mean 'the right to live'?? I know, not really sure why water isn't included in it either. I do agree with you though, this woman hasn't earnt the right to live comfortably and that needs to be addressed.

I mean 'the right to live'?? The government have allowed too many people to get away with stuff hiding behind these for too long. Would stopping people from having kids til they've contributed financially to society really be a bad thing?? It's nice to see that the only contribution to society a person can make is based on money.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 It's nice to see that the only contribution to society a person can make is based on money. No of course not, but when you're going to be taking out of the system financially surely it's £ you should be required to put in first. I
I am Rod Hull Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 I just find it strange so many people get angry when so few immigrants claim benefits. And the Sun saying that shes living a life of luxury on £279 a week with £56 of disposable income How anyone can take this crap seriously is beyond me......

Aside from the article clearly being a wind up - it states that she worked before she got pregnant. If everyone thinks that being on JSA is such a gift, quit your job and live the high life.

If everyone thinks that being on JSA is such a gift, quit your job and live the high life. My immediate thought was it's bollocks. She earns more than me a week after tax and my life isn't luxurious, but you have to take the story at face value surely? (even if it was written in the sun)

If everyone thinks that being on JSA is such a gift, quit your job and live the high life. Yeah I've started to suspect the reliability of the article. The Sun isn't renowned for its credibility. And yes it does go against what most people are saying about benefits - with the 1% rise announced there have been a lot of people saying they won't be able to live on it. I'm not sure how true that is but it does show how rare these cases of living comfortably on benefits are.
Rincewind Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 I believe if you are seeking immigration to this country there are rules about what you are entitled to. There are leaflets available online. I won't quote figures or argue because I do not know but I have seen the leaflets which states something like food vouchers are given until the application is approved. Have a look at how many asylum seekers are approved too and how long it takes. If you know any illegal immigrants however report them because they are breaking the law.
MooseBreath Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 If you include her apparently legal job "on the side" then she 'earns' £21k per year, no tax, the equivalent of a £27k per year salary. Which is more than enough to afford a few foreign holidays and some designer clothes. Clearly there is no justifiable reason why her income should be subsidised by the tax payer to such a degree. Ignoring the immigrant element and the fact that this story is obviously designed to wind people up, it is still appalling that this kind of thing can and does actually happen. Victory for the lefties, I suppose. They've successfully created a monster of sufficient absurdity to divert attention away from their own schemes. I'm beginning to think there might be something in this 'pretending to care' thing. Very devious. I like it.
Rincewind Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 SWhen they count her income it INCLUDES her benefits. She would not be paid them on top. Mine is £71 JSA £53 rent and around £50 council tax. A total of about $170 but I only have the £71 to pay all my bills which include electricity and gas. I certainly cannot go on holiday or run a car or go out on the piss nightly. You are only allowed the amount the experts (?) say you should be able to live on with the basics. If you have extras like Sky TV holidays you are fecked and will not survive unless you go into debt. Either that or they are getting money from other ways which are illegal and if/when found out will be prosecuted for it. If you know anyone on benefits that go on holidays 2 or 3 times a year report them because it is likely they are doing something wrong.

Maybe in your situation, but if you think those on benefits are not having the full sky tv package and going on overseas holidays, you are wrong What you describe is how it should be.
acooling08 Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 If she refuses a job then just cut all her benefits. Simple. Then she'll either have to work or die.
Rincewind Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 If she refuses a job then just cut all her benefits. Simple. Then she'll either have to work or die. That happens anyway.
Guest Bilo Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 So basically she's exactly like thousands upon thousands of British people but it's somehow worse because she's Lithuanian? Yes, she's a leech. Yes, she comes across as a complete twat. The fact still remains she's very much in the minority amongst Eastern European immigrants in terms of her attitude to work and benefits. This is little more than The Sun picking out a near one-off to feed into their anti-immigrant agenda.
Rincewind Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 Her nationality is irrelevant. A cheat is a cheat whether it is via benefits or tax,
acooling08 Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 Has anybody heard of Dysgenics? Happening to society (albeit slowly) Population increase in this country is now only due to the scum breeding with each other, having 5+ kids and never working. And let's not forget immigration. For every intelligent and contributing Asian doctor, there is one of his countrymen living in a council house in Belgrave impregnating his wife for the 7th time since he's been here and claiming benefits. Slippery slope people. The layabouts will outnumber the decent members of society in time. It'll be a while yet, but it'll happen.
MooseBreath Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 It's interesting that the article linked in a bit of fear mongering about Romania and Bulgaria. That plays right into the hands of the UKIP which plays right into the hands of Labour. Maybe the Sun are planning to switch their allegiance back their way.

And despite the Coalition’s looming cap on benefits — which Labour will again vote against tomorrow — Natalija vowed: “I am not going to work like a dog on minimum wage. â€
FrankieADZ Posted 20 January 2013 Posted 20 January 2013 clearly a sign the benefits system isnt working/needs to be looked at to weed out the frauds....tho I think its wrong that careers get just £61 a week.
