Had one of those range sessions last night that got me thinking I could mix it up with Scottie and Rory some day. Unlikely as im now 36 years old and never broke 100 but you never know.

I remember when he battered Sergio Garcia in the '08 RC singles. I hated his arrogance but his talent backed it up.

After his first 29 holes he was -1 and miles off the pace.

 

After 64 holes he's now -18 and only one off the lead.

 

Unbelievable comeback.

Thats two weeks on the trott he's given the field a head start, only to finish very close to winning it.

How are Leicestershire golf courses holding up with all the rain? 

 

Was planning to play the Belfry this morning but they offered vouchers for bad weather as they said it was still really wet, so didn't go. 

 

Looks like we have a good week of dryish weather coming up now though, so hopefully will get back out soon. I'm itching to get back to it.

Cosby's been closed since Friday.  The clubhouse and driving range were also closed until lunchtime on Saturday due to flooding. Bridge from the car park to the clubhouse being completely underwater. Doubt we will be open before the middle of the week.

Longcliffe was closed all weekend, although is apparently open today with only 2 temps which I am surprised about given how cautious they've been so far this winter. It does normally drain pretty well to be fair.

 

The Belfry really suffers in the wet doesn't it? It must have been really bad for them to offer you a voucher considering how much £££ they like to squeeze out of every customer there.

Yet apparently a mate of a mate played it Sunday morning and said it wasn't that bad. With the talk in the clubhouse that it'd be bone dry by midweek. So who knows. 

 

I looked at Ruddington Grange and they only had 9 holes and all on temporary greens. That does have a few inclines though.

Jordan Ayew might be the only thing I hate more than temporary greens, most of the time I'd rather not bother.

Although it stated 2 temps, a mate played it and there weren’t any
