Sack him now!

Should have grabbed Nigel Adkins while we had the chance.

Woops.

This is it plus when we go 1-0 down the game plan goes out the window. Pearson will NEVER get a team up in the automatic spots he hasnt got the tactics and never has a plan B or C.

Almost definitely a big woops.

A fookin penny finally drops..

You're a moron. Woops.

The pro Pearson supporters have gone strangely quiet!

I and a number of others have taken dogs abuse over the past months (years in my case) for any criticism of Mr Pearson so come on defend him now we all know who you are!

Not nearly as much as you deserve. Still want him out?

I didn't think it before today but NP must go....I loved the guy but he's reached his full potential and it's clear he's not good enough to get us over the line.

Reached his full potential? Woops.

You can hardly blame them, It was a stressful time. I'm surprised this thing got 37 pages though lel

I think you can blame them. We were seventh at the time: OK, that was down from second earlier in the season, but it was still a higher position than we had been under any manager apart from Pearson since 2003.

You have to remember these comments were made during an utterly appalling run of form. No win in like 20 odd games and no sign of a plan B or new tactics. We scraped the playoffs by pure luck, nothing else. Nigel was extremely lucky to keep his job when many wouldn't. Fair play to him he has adapted his tactics this season and we are doing what we should have carried on doing last season. Not really sure why this thread has been bumped tbh.

The upturn after the Barnsley defeat wasn't luck. I'm not saying it wasn't a terrible run before that, but we didn't pick up nine points from our last six games to save our season from luck.

Not sure anyone's forgotten. Nope, was nowhere near no win in 20 games. Nope, we finished in 6th place after 46 games, that is not pure luck.

Boooolllloooccckkkssss.

Typical, short sighted, knee jerk, football fans reacting to a bad run of form by getting frustrated and calling for the managers head, it's the ever annoying "we want success and we want it now" attitude that plagues modern football. The tactics haven't changed a great deal and there is still no plan b, plan a just works most of the time. There has been no revolution at Leicester city since April last year, it's been purely evolutionary and it was always going to come, the pace at which it has arrived has surprised even me but it was always evident this team could compete and before long would go up if we hung on to our better players and carried on improving.

Putting all that aside as I said at the time if you look, there was six games left, what possibly could of been achieved by sacking Pearson with six games left with no viable replacement lined up, nothing. The only thing football fans can ever do to influence things on the pitch is actively campaign against the current manager removed and unfortunately far too many resort to that out of frustration and/or spite far too soon.

You're right actually, it wasn't no win in 20, but it really was a horrible, frustrating period. In my opinion, in the form we had been in at the time, it was lucky. Not to drop out. To you it may be something else. For me it's a distant memory and I'm keeping it that way!

Yeah I'm not saying that what they said is justified. I'm saying it was a stressful point in time. It's easy coming back a year later in hindsight but at the time I can understand some of the reactions.

Bang on.

And it wasn't "No win in like 20 odd games", it was one win (and three draws) in 11 games, which came after a run of five consecutive victories. And during the whole season (until the very last game, against Watford) we didn't lose any game by more than one goal.

The point is, we weren't that bad - which is how we got into the playoffs, and why we are way out in front today. Same manager, virtually the same players, same tactics. End of.

Sorry but you are just indisputably wrong. How can a team's final position in the table be down to pure luck? 46 league games, no penalty shoot-outs.
