Webbo Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Watched my first match today (forgot it was on) Cracking match between SRH and RCB. Went to a super over and then it still went to the last ball. Anyone else following it?

Webbo Posted 7 April 2013 Author Posted 7 April 2013 Nice to see you following some cricket (although its not proper cricket), Webbo Hoping you get converted to the purest form of the game soon I use to love cricket but since it switched to Sky I don't get to watch it much. T20 is the future though.

StanSP Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Yep today was brilliant, and yesterday was fantastic between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Fascinates me how cool and calm MS Dhoni stays under the highest pressure situations. Went right down to the wire and in general, Dhoni's (CSK), Pollard's (MI) and Gayle's for RCB abilities to hit maximums is superb. I wish I could watch more IPL this year after having watched it virtually non stop for the past few years. Who is everyone supporting? Mumbai Indians for me as usual, but also will hold out some support for CSK too.
Bert Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 First proper game I'm watching and Mumbai Indians are in bat, so they're my team.
StanSP Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 First proper game I'm watching and Mumbai Indians are in bat, so they're my team. Fine choice, sir .
StanSP Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 I've only just switched on and Bert, you picked the right innings to get watching it properly! 210 is a huge score for any team.
Webbo Posted 9 April 2013 Author Posted 9 April 2013 IIrc I supported Delhi Daredevils last season so I'll stick with them.
StanSP Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 Are Kochi Tuskers Kerala still in it? Nope. Only played in 2011. Go chucked out in their sole season because of breach of some agreement.
Simmo86 Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 Nope. Only played in 2011. Go chucked out in their sole season because of breach of some agreement. Balls. I used to like them! Mumbai Indians it is then
EnderbyFox Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 Outrageous catch from Ponting earlier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFDpQn55BdY
Voll Blau Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 90% of me can't stand the gimmickry and how ridiculously OTT everything is. The other 10% loves the unbelievable standard (Gayle v Steyn on Sunday) and the fact I can actually watch some live cricket on TV for once, so I've watched as much as I can.
StanSP Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Anyone else watch RCB vs CSK just now? Quality drama right at the end!
StanSP Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Like leaving a game early. Criminal! Missed an epic finale, mate.
purpleronnie Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 I swtiched over during the adverts and forgot about it.
StanSP Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Excuses . To be honest, once Dhoni went, I did consider making some food or sticking FIFA on. But then I saw Bravo come in and faith restored!
Swarles Barkley Posted 14 April 2013 Posted 14 April 2013 Morgan went mental. Classic morgan innings, great player. Even hit steyn for 6
Swarles Barkley Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Anyone watching gayles innings. Completely ridiculous batting. What a player
StanSP Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Gutted I can only keep up on Cricinfo for this! 30-ball century, still smacking it along to 150+. RCB currently on 207 for 2 and still over 3 overs to go. Unbelievable stuff. Gayle only needs 6 more to beat McCullum's innings of 158. Ironically that was on the same ground as today.
