The Pre-season Friendlies thread

I'm quite so surprised at the level of supporter interest in pre-season friendlies, when was the last 'decent' one?

Even the Madrid game was a poor game despite all of the hoo-haa

YOU'RE ****ING JOKING. I've lived in shitty stoke for four ****ing years, and 2 weeks after I move out, we're playing at Port Vale.

Possibly a lesser-known German team.

(I'm only guessing here)

You got it right with KFC Uerdingen a couple of weeks back

York Races are on the Friday and Saturday after if anybody is thinking of sticking around for a few days.

That could end up an expensive week

Why would we get injuries in a game we lose? I just want us to play better sides who aren't a walk in the park for us. These don't have to be hard fought games they just have to be good quality games.

Dot forget we lost in a competitive match to a league 2 side last season. Pre-season is about getting matches action, nothing more nothing less.

You can also get injuries in games you lose, by the way.

Bet the leamington one is to do with the Blyth transfer

Correct.

As long as we don't steamroll this lot then I'll be happy. That's all I'm saying really, pre-season is wasted if all we do is have a jolly time beating everyone. That doesn't get the mind set for competitive fixtures.

I've got to say I don't know why people are telling me we can get injuries in a game we lose. Well yes, but it's I feel as if people are suggesting King is more likely to hurt is leg if we let in more goals than the opposition.
