katieakita Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Forgetting on loan signings these players left at the end of last season. Weale, Vassell, Tunchev, Peltier Pantsil Oakley Moussa Mills Kennedy Howard Bamba Look what Pearson has brought in. Drinkwater Marshall Morgan De Laet Futacs James Knockeart Vardy Whitbread Wood Also the savings on Abe earlier in season 2011-2012 and the reduction in loan players and think he hasn,t done such a bad job. Just needs to move on more of the expensive players with no futures here.
Munshi Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Needs to improve how we end the season and we'll be in the Prem come 2015
Jimothy Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Needs to improve how we end the season and we'll be in the Prem come 2015 Why we not going up next season either?
Ashley Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Some people on this forum and on phone ins never look at the bigger picture, I think a lot of our fans where blue tinted specs. Pearson has done a great job reducing our wage bill, bringing in money for players.
l444ry Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 He was probably told to reduce the wage bill by the owners. He's hardly the George Osborne of the Championship is he?
katieakita Posted 15 May 2013 Author Posted 15 May 2013 He was probably told to reduce the wage bill by the owners. He's hardly the George Osborne of the Championship is he? George Osborne? bit random that. Reduced wages and brought in younger cheaper players.
Libertine Dream Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 He was probably told to reduce the wage bill by the owners. He's hardly the George Osborne of the Championship is he? Thank god he's not, we want better finances.
Babylon Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Forgetting on loan signings these players left at the end of last season. Weale, Vassell, Tunchev, Peltier Pantsil Oakley Moussa Mills Kennedy Howard Bamba You have missed out... Teixeira, Ball and Berner as leavers since he returned. Shifting Gallagher, Wellens, Danns, Beckford, perhaps Konch and St Ledger might prove a bit more difficult.
JJS84 Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 FFP is being challenged in the European high court by a football agent that states the fair play rules break league laws in the major European leagues and also locks in rich clubs and stops smaller clubs ever being an attractive proposition to invest in, as they can't operate at a loss ever. The agent is using the same lawyer that won the Bosman case. It'll be interesting if this holds up the implication of the laws into the game. There seems to many who want to oppose these laws and agents are the main ones.
StanSP Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 I've tried putting these points (wages reduced, looking to the future in a financially positive way) towards all the anti-Pearson brigade. Few, if any, barely see the point in raising this argument and fail to see that this is another side to Pearson staying whilst rebuilding the squad as well as progressing us as a club. More fool them.
Harry - LCFC Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 I'd love to see these players' wages to see how much of an impact Pearson's overhaul of the squad has done.
Foxes_Trust Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 I'd love to see these players' wages to see how much of an impact Pearson's overhaul of the squad has done. Have to wait until the end of Feb 2014 for that answer when the next set of accounts are published
5waller5 Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 It would be irrelevant had we achieved promotion. But well done NP on making failure more palatable. Bit like missing out on Elle Macpherson and pulling a 20 stone ginger minger and her popping on Elle's bra to make up for it.
