Fox92 Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Sturridge is a better striker than Rooney. Another striker that doesn't perform at International level, though.
Stadt Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 He's a good player, it annoys me when people give him stick as he always seems to do a good job.Welbeck or Barry? I'm presuming you were talking about Barry but yeah his play style is quite continental and he uses the ball very well.
Unabomber Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Welbeck or Barry? I'm presuming you were talking about Barry but yeah his play style is quite continental and he uses the ball very well. I'm talking about Barry, Welbeck is doggo.
Stadt Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Another striker that doesn't perform at International level, though. He's had about 3 games upfront for England
Jimothy Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Another striker that doesn't perform at International level, though. 10 caps, no major tournament. Give the lad a chance.
Unabomber Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Another striker that doesn't perform at International level, though. He hardly gets played in his position though.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 He's a good player, it annoys me when people give him stick as he always seems to do a good job. Barry is very good, he does all the dirty work so goes unnoticed.
Unabomber Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Barry is very good, he does all the dirty work so goes unnoticed. Like Matty James
leicesterisme Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Another striker that doesn't perform at International level, though. Don't really know how you can say that when this is his first full season playing football week in week out, he's only played 10 times for England. He's the best striker we've got and I'd say by some way aswell.
Fox92 Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 He's had about 3 games upfront for England 10 caps, no major tournament. Give the lad a chance. I am giving him a chance. I do like Sturridge. Just whenever I've seen him, ok they probably have been friendlies, he hasn't replicated his electric form of Liverpool. I do hope he goes. Our striker list is seriously depressing.
Stadt Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 On a side note, the Everton players have great names: Tim, Leighton, John, Sylvain, Gareth and Kevin.

That's because he gets played out on the left to accomodate Rooney.
Stadt Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 I'm talking about Barry, Welbeck is doggo.Says a lot about Man U when they need him in the side
Stadt Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Just fúck Rooney off out of the starting XI, he's done nothing for ages John isn't a great name! It is for an 18 year old
Fox92 Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Just fúck Rooney off out of the starting XI, he's done nothing for ages No he was just our top goalscorer throughout qualifying.
Unabomber Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Just fúck Rooney off out of the starting XI, he's done nothing for ages It is for an 18 year old My names Jonny is that good?
Stadt Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 No he was just our top goalscorer throughout qualifying.Tim Gekas scored about 10 goals in the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign for Greece.
Fox92 Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Tim Gekas scored about 10 goals in the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign for Greece. Ok.
Jimothy Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 That's because he gets played out on the left to accomodate Rooney. This is what I never get, because Sturridge is an out and out striker, and is only really effective down the middle. Rooney can be effective in a deeper role, or out wide of a front three. If Hodgson wants to insist on playing Rooney as the central striker, play players either side of him that will be effective, like Sterling, Rodreguiz, Walcott, Townsend etc. If he's desperate to get Sturridge in, play him in the only role he'll be good in. Rooney will alway put a shift in, whether you play him up top or at right back.
Unabomber Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Yeah Wicked, now I just need to work out who you are.
