ousefox Posted 16 June 2013 Posted 16 June 2013 I'll get involved with that tomorrow. Looking forward to it this week.
Bert Posted 16 June 2013 Author Posted 16 June 2013 Keeps the interest up doesn't it! Spread the word.
goose2010 Posted 17 June 2013 Posted 17 June 2013 I'm in kept it interesting at Cheltenham. Not the best on the flat but will give it a whirl.
ScouseFox Posted 17 June 2013 Posted 17 June 2013 Didn't realise there was a seperate Ascot one to the main flat season one. Involved and bound to do as badly as ever
Bert Posted 17 June 2013 Author Posted 17 June 2013 Didn't realise there was a seperate Ascot one to the main flat season one. Involved and bound to do as badly as ever I didn't until yesterday. This is pretty much identical to Cheltenham one.
ScouseFox Posted 17 June 2013 Posted 17 June 2013 Yeah I joined up and had a look, choose horses from every race as opposed to just the bigger ones you choose for the Champion Series one. Should be a bit of fun to keep those races where I don't know what to back an extra bit interesting. Although I always end up deciding not to back something, choosing it on here and then it wins!
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 17 June 2013 Posted 17 June 2013 MY RACING SELECTIONS TUESDAY, JUNE 18 Race 1 - 2:30 Animal Kingdom Race 2 - 3:05 Doc Hay Race 3 - 3:45 Magician Race 4 - 4:25 Stubbs Race 5 - 5:00 Tiger Cliff Race 6 - 5:35 Justice Day
FoxesAreBlue Posted 17 June 2013 Posted 17 June 2013 The two times I've been to Royal Week I have had a free bar for 8 hours of the day and not seen a single bit of horse racing, mainly because it bores me (I had a free ticked through my old work). I did make an effort to watch the Royal Procession though, can't pass up a chance to see the Queen God bless her. The first year we went into the posh after party in the Boujis Club within the Royal Enclosure. One bloke bought a magnum of champagne that cost £2000 and was pouring it into my face. The night need badly when I was dancing on a table and ended up falling through an open window, that gave me away as a poor person and I was kicked out. Also, and quite randomly Larry Lamb and Dion Dublin were there. That's all I can remember really. Good times though, good times
Simmo86 Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 Race 1 - 2:30 Trade Storm Race 2 - 3:05 Reckless Abandon Race 3 - 3:45 Magician Race 4 - 4:25 Thunder Strike Race 5 - 5:00 Big Easy Race 6 - 5:35 Ogermeister
Bert Posted 18 June 2013 Author Posted 18 June 2013 These aren't my fantasy picks. Will post them in a bit. The decent bloke (see betting thread£) who knows his onions has gone for these six today. Back at your own risk mind. Not saying they're gonna win, but he's one of the few decent and trustworthy blokes that I've seen on twitter regarding tips. 2:30 Animal Kingdom 3:05 Shea shea 3:45 Magician 4:25 Thunder Strike 5:00 Tiger Cliff 5:35 Anticipated My selections for fantasy league Animal Kingdom Reckless Abandon Magician Championship Tiger cliff Fountain of Youth
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 My best mate is called Stubbs so I've backed him in the Coventry. Got a decent chance.
goose2010 Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 gone for these.... TUESDAY, JUNE 18 Race 1 - 2:30 Elusive Kate Race 2 - 3:05 Shamexpress Race 3 - 3:45 Toronado Race 4 - 4:25 Thunder Strike Race 5 - 5:00 Homeric Race 6 - 5:35 Beau Nash
Bert Posted 18 June 2013 Author Posted 18 June 2013 Joe Kinnear has just been on the radio, said he fancies Animal Kingkong and Drawn A Coach.
Matt Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 Bollocks ****ed up on my Scoop6. Picked 'Doc Hey' in the 3.05 @ Ascot. Oh well, I could be the person who picks a 125/1 in a Scoop6 and win the prize, what a story that'd be.... Anyway my bets today are; Lucky 15 2.30 - Animal Kingdom. 3.25 - Reckless Abandon. 3.45 - Magician. 4.25 - Thunder Strike. I've done a silly e/w accumulator on every race; 2.30 - Animal Kingdom. 3.05 - Shea Shea. 3.45 - Dawn Approach. 4.25 - Thunder Strike. 5.00 - Tiger Cliff. 5.35 - Anticipated. And my fucked up Scoop6; 3.05 @ Ascot - Doc Hay. 3.30 @ Thirsk - Willbeme. 4.05 @ Thirsk - Muharrer. 4.25 @ Ascot - Thunder Strike. 5.00 @ Ascot - Lieutenant Miller. 5.35 @ Ascot - Anticipated. And i've not yet but reckon i'll have a single on Lieutenant Miller.
Bert Posted 18 June 2013 Author Posted 18 June 2013 Animal Kingdom was dog muck thereDon't like it when horses get ponied down. Never a favourite.
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 Impressive run from Sole Power. Swooped through them all.
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 What a race! Everyone hyped it up and it didn't disappoint. Massive barge in the middle of it as well just added to the drama.
goose2010 Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 Was Certain Tornado was going to win that one! so close but was a cracking race!
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 Was Certain Tornado was going to win that one! so close but was a cracking race! I had Dawn Approach and Toronado, was cheering them both on . Hughesie gave him a great ride and at least he's back in the game after a pretty poor Guineas.
separator Posted 18 June 2013 Posted 18 June 2013 Was Certain Tornado was going to win that one! so close but was a cracking race! I was backing Magician, but he seemed to do a disappearing act after that bit of barging
