BHAFC Braders Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 If thats so decided why don't you just appoint Garcia Junction now? Because of this right to appeal Gus has - guessing he still technically COULD get his job back , but the club could be seen in a worse light (?) if they appoint someone whilst this hasn't been concluded officially.

Not even sure I understand why he'd want to appeal - his position is surely untenable now even if he wins the appeal. Although he would admittedly save face he'd surely then resign, so its either accept the sacking and take the compo or resign and forfeit it. Or is he losing his compo because of the reasoning of his sacking anyway?

Clear his name for whatever the club have decided the breach of contract is/was I guess , of course the Compo is a major benefactor.
Fox92 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I have a feeling Rosler will get it. Was thinking the same thing.
Alf Bentley Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Got to be a man with local connections for me. So, I'd opt for Boring Bob Grover, legendary frontman with The Piranhas. He'd even come with his own Seagulls theme tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeO243wtfg0 "You have to laugh or else you'd cry; You have to live or else you'd die" That's the sort of footballing philosophy required down at the Goldstone...er, I mean, whatever their particular plastic stadium is called.

BHAFC Braders Posted 26 June 2013 Posted 26 June 2013 Oscar it is then now HOPEFULLY we can get back to football.
LCFC FOX Posted 26 June 2013 Posted 26 June 2013 At lease Brighton shouldn't do as well now. Have a feeling they will do what we did under Sousa

Tielemans63 Posted 26 June 2013 Posted 26 June 2013 Technically an Interim , then next Permanent with be Oscar Garcia Junyent Not sure this is a good appointment. Was always inconsistent as a player on Sensible World of Soccer 97/98. I paid £2.75m to take him to Leyton Orient but he was only worth £2.25m by the end of that season. Let's hope he's more reliable as a manager.
Ric Flair Posted 27 June 2013 Posted 27 June 2013 Brighton are like Swansea, they appoint forward thinking managers and he'll be the next one along that will more than likely get them promoted. It's destined.
Samilktray Posted 27 June 2013 Posted 27 June 2013 Brighton are like Swansea, they appoint forward thinking managers and he'll be the next one along that will more than likely get them promoted. It's destined. And we get stuck with dinosaurs like Pearson.
ealingfox Posted 27 June 2013 Posted 27 June 2013 Brighton are like Swansea, they appoint forward thinking managers and he'll be the next one along that will more than likely get them promoted. It's destined. It's not even about being forward-thinking, it's about appointing someone with a similar philosophy to the previous so you aren't chopping and changing squads with every new man which is time-consuming and unproductive (see Leicester City 2004-present), and building upon what you have. That said, Swansea are a little different as they went with men who had experience in English football either playing or coaching in Sousa, Martinez and then Rodgers. This Garcia-Junction bloke has no English experience and has only managed for one season, in a tinpot league, so it is a bit riskier.
