Dan Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 You get the odd one of them. I had a PSG 8-6 St Etienne on my other game.
Stadt Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 I've had so much to spend at West Brom, probably about 35 million and a 300k wage budget Faurlin and Mcmanammanamanhave came in, Mulimbu and Brunt were sold for £14 million
Narborough_fox Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Got a new laptop and boy does this run quickly! Just qualified for the Europa League so hoping for a nice draw. Half my squad wants to leave unless we get Champions League football at the end of the year. Struggling to keep Eriksen, Telles and Icardi especially.
Narborough_fox Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 King's been with me for so long he's got a testimonial against Chelsea, first one I've ever seen on FM.
NewburyFox Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 King's been with me for so long he's got a testimonial against Chelsea, first one I've ever seen on FM. I had a testimonial for a guy at my Wrexham. I arranged it for the 3rd July, but as a club we'd outgrown him and his contract expired at the end of June. Poor guy didn't get to play in his own testimonial
Dan Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 I'm in November at Udinese. Still unbeaten in the league (somehow) but have had a mare in the Europa League. I managed to lose 3-0 to everyone's favourite coupon buster Ludogorets Razgrad. Genuinely well into this save and doing well. 3rd in the league and was predicted 8th, only made two signings too. Finally found a consistent goalkeeper in Keylor Navas.
Narborough_fox Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Just had to sell Icardi due to Madrid matching his buyout clause of £24mill. Looking to buy Benteke for £5mill and have a very handy regen in the ranks as well.
Danizen Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 End of my second season with Leicester. Finished 9th in the Prem. Things looking very rosy. My first 11: gk: Kasper Schmeichel lb: Jake Bidwell cb: Jonas Olsson cb: Liam Moore Rb: Richie De Laet CM:Matty James CM: Jack Cork LAM: Thomas Ince CAM: Anthony Knockaert RAM: Riyad Mahrez ST: Danny Ings. subs: Quim, Morgan (to be replaced), Drinkwater, Chahed (to be replaced), Chris Wood, Apostolos Vellios Stephen Ireland. I have Angel Correa coming on a free so Mahrez will be dropped. I've been given £19m most of which will be spent on the defence as that was a huge problem, last season. PS. Bolton and Palace are in League 1.
Dan Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 Any of you signed Sascha Horvath before? I've picked him for £6k (yes, six thousand) and he's got the potential to be a class act IMO. 5th with Udinese at the winter break. Tailed right off. I don't like having a star player who is 36 years old as he's getting worse and worse. Who do I replace him with? Considering a very audacious bid for Gabriel Barbosa.

LCFC31 Posted 25 April 2014 Posted 25 April 2014 Going to start a save as Leicester city next. Will probably try and sign Gary Mackay-Steven. Always seems to do well for me.
Beliall Posted 25 April 2014 Posted 25 April 2014 i havent played this properly for a while, getting antsi at shenhua, worried i might quit through frustration but i feel it may be my first decent chance at the asian CL
Stuliasz Posted 25 April 2014 Posted 25 April 2014 After finishing 9th in my first season with Leamington, I was top of the Skrill North for most of the second season just to find that yet another awful end of season slump dashed my hopes. Finished second, six points off the eventual winners Lowestoft and went out in the semi of the playoffs. So many games I lost after missing one clear cut chance after another, just for the opposition to score from a set piece. To add insult to injury, the majority of my squad I've had to let go as their contracts were up and there desired wage increases were too high. Really struggling to recruit for next season with enough quality to be competitive at the top end due to such a limited wage budget, although I've managed to get the board to agree to a 3k p/w budget, up from 2.7k last season!
Narborough_fox Posted 25 April 2014 Posted 25 April 2014 Absolutely disatrous start to the season. Had to sell Icardi because his buyout clause was matched and sold Jores Okore for £11million but we're in heaps of financial trouble so the club kept the money and we're now financially secure. Didn't manage to secure any big signings and am left with a lot of 20/21 year-old regens to try and get me into the Champions League. In reality, I'm hoping Eriksen, Ince and Knockaert will step it up another gear. Played 5 games so far and have 4 points. Lost to Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea. Drew to Everton and beat Liverpool. Can hopefully kick on after getting that start to the season over.
The Doctor Posted 25 April 2014 Posted 25 April 2014 Conceded a header from behind the half way line to Connor Wickham despite my keeper being in my goal The ****? how can anyone have the power to score a header from the halfway line?

Buzzell Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 I've managed to do the double over Barcelona in the Champions League with Leicester. Beat them 5-1 at home and 2-1 at the Nou Camp! But still can't seem to shift my European form into the league. Sitting in mid-table, next game against Derby, guaranteed to lose.

Buzzell Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Leicester losing to Derby? Unheard of! Managed to win. On went the unbeaten run until I ran into Arsenal and lost 2-0 despite dominating the match. Sitting comfortably in 5th position, got Zenit in the next round of the Champions League.
Buzzell Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Fm 2014 isnt known for realism Just agreed to sign Real Madrid's best midfielder on a free transfer because his contract is on the verge of running out. So unrealistic.
beemeroo Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 Every step FM takes towards realism is a step further away from fun. Long live absurdity.
Dan Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I don't think anything on the game pisses me off more than when three of you are going for one spot, the other two finally slip up, you play last out of the three and your game in hand is at home to a side you'll beat any other weekend - except the one where you can get yourself into that position you want. The inevitability of my over-achieving Udinese side bottling it is depressing. Juventus, AC Milan, Roma, Lazio, Napoli & Inter had no answer, but of course the mighty force of Parma had no trouble.
