Just place it in C:/MyDocs/SI/FM14/Tactics and it should appear in game under load tactics. I change the midfield and forward roles depending on players. I use a mixture of inside forwards and wingers and usually an advanced forward or poacher. AMC is always advanced playmaker support as I have an Iniesta-type lad in the hole. Midfielders vary, usually have a Deep lying playmaker as well alongside an automatic CM or a defensive player/role like Kondogbia. I usually add two things to the instructions as well, I just haven't adjusted yet. More direct passing and Higher tempo. It may rely on quality players but I did alright with it with lower class as well. Give it a whirl and let me know how it goes

Basically I rely on outscoring the opposition. I outclass them at home but away I tend to dominate possession less but I go very attacking in search of goals. I have the quality to score a few so I go for it. I'd probably play a narrower 4-3-3 if I was sensible. Have you tried that yet? 4-3-3 Anchor man, deep lying, advanced, 2 inside forwards and an advanced forward. Play quite rigid, narrow and direct? I've not, but only cause it's a game and i can't be bothered to play negatively. At Nantes I used to try and play like Barcelona but really I do think it was all too advanced for that squad and that's why it went wrong. I'll have a look at that formation, cheers.

Same tactics, no major player changes - just suddenly turned shit for no reason! you got found out. at the moment im trying to alternate 4-4-1-1 with 5-3-2. The latter for stronger teams. I like a dabble with 4-2-3-1 ( thanks lee) or 4-5-1 which can be devastating if your front 3 are in the mood.

Still in with a shout of the play-offs... on crap pitches try direct passing, maybe only have like 3 or 4 instructions, like hassle opponents, play direct and expliot flanks (if you have wingers) when i added run at defence i saw more results go my way. Cheers, I'll give it a bash. I usually only use 4-5 instructions: short passing, retain possession, hassle opposition, and a few others depending on the team I'm playing. Thought I'd found a winning formula until it all came crashing down! One game left - 7th place, goal difference off play-offs. Praying that Reading bottle it...

I noticed competence went down when I moved from 'control' to 'attacking', or whatever. Didn't realise it changed with every instruction. I usually push up if the opposition don't have any pace, or get stuck in if they're local rivals..

Ross-Kemp Posted 25 January 2014 Posted 25 January 2014 Finished 3rd in the champions league. On game day 6, all 4 teams had 7 points. I thrashed Anderlecht 5-1 on aggregate in the Europa league, next up is Dynamo Kiev. I've again made it to the carling cup final, I've got slightly tougher opposition than Brighton last year, Manchester United. Currently 6th in the league, I had to sign Lopes on loan (RWB) and Aaron Lennon due to a massive injury crisis, Negrodo as a DLF(A) has been banging them in.
