My addiction is an absolute embarrassment. Often feel like I'm close to getting it right but never quite get there and I do love a good save on FM.

 

I need another hobby. If I'm at home then there's a good chance I'm on FM lol

Tbh, it probably won't work for you away from home. Basically I rely on outscoring the opposition. I outclass them at home but away I tend to dominate possession less but I go very attacking in search of goals. I have the quality to score a few so I go for it.

I'd probably play a narrower 4-3-3 if I was sensible. Have you tried that yet? 4-3-3 Anchor man, deep lying, advanced, 2 inside forwards and an advanced forward. Play quite rigid, narrow and direct?

 

I've not, but only cause it's a game and i can't be bothered to play negatively.

Finished 3rd in the champions league.

On game day 6, all 4 teams had 7 points.

I thrashed Anderlecht 5-1 on aggregate in the Europa league, next up is Dynamo Kiev.

I've again made it to the carling cup final, I've got slightly tougher opposition than Brighton last year, Manchester United.

Currently 6th in the league, I had to sign Lopes on loan (RWB) and Aaron Lennon due to a massive injury crisis, Negrodo as a DLF(A) has been banging them in.

Finished 4th, won the carling cup.

I've signed a regen wonderkid 17 year old from Barcelona, Polish striker, scored 4 in 4 so far.

I beat Marsaille in the champions league 4th round qualifier, will find out later who I get in my group this time.

I'm hoping to have moved up to pot 3 for seeding and hoping to reach the knockout stages.

I actually treated myself to this, having finished a bunch of my coursework assignments and have played it a bit. Started unemployed and finally got a job at Castilla (R Madrid reserves effectively). Saved them from relegation (bottom after 14 games when I took over). Finished 8th, but hugely annoyingly they took my better players about 10 games from end of season in to their own squad (and obviously never played them - this is Real Madrid!... and gave me 2 players in replacement, both left backs (after taking my left and right back) and I couldn't register either to play, so they were ineligible.

 

I'd snapped up two players on frees who were mainstays of my side and Real Madrid sold both on my behalf, one to a direct competitor for 8k (thanks) and one for free!

I seem to have become a bit of a legend there, the previous guy must be a muppet, but the whole squad apart from 3 players are upset because 'I' got rid of the captain. I didn't get rid of the captain, boys, someone well over my head did it!
 

I need to engineer a move away. Is there any sense in 'declaring interest' in a job - or are you better off just to apply? Does your current club know if you apply?

Oh - here's the reason I was on this thread. 

 

Pearson had Leicester top, played 16, won 15, drawn 1. Miles clear.

 

Club got sold to a rich chap with Irish connections and rumours were Roy Keane would be coming in to manage the club... that didn't happen, and they then wanted Phil Brown.... but ended up with Dave Jones.

 

They finished 5th and the squad has been completely changed. He appears to be collecting players now. He plays one up front, which is GTF despite still having all our current lot and 3 other strikers he paid over £1million for.

 

Nicely done Dave. 

 

Lost in the play offs and apparently in financial dire straits now. Youth Academy downgraded to tier 2 as well. Impressed at the detail.

yes, declaring or applying will annoy the board. good luck with it, you know that RM castilla cannot be promoted right?  go over budget, sell star players and buy shit and they'll get rid of you. also keep asking for things, like every day

ye, LCFC do great usually under pearson, but whoever comes in (if they do) properly screws the club up

Yeah. I know mate. I started with poor reputation like previous pro or something but not international.

 

Loaded a few leagues. Applied at rubbish clubs. No interview.

 

Eventually got an interview at Leyton Orient (who sacked their manager after 4 games and his replacement after another 5). Didn't get that. Another few weeks and no interviews and I thought I'd apply for the Castilla job. Was very surprised I got it. Its a unique experience with the game really. I'd like to try to get headhunted by another club. Don't want to resign and be left without a club now.

 

For next season I need Femenia back who is my right winger and major goal threat. He seems to be on Real Madrid's bench occasionally so I don't like my chances. Loads of their squad players are lacking match fitness though. Shame you can't 'ask' for those players, since it seems random as to who you eventually get given (my lot this season seem to be guys who've gone up from the U19's, deemed worth keeping, but nowhere near good enough for RM)

My reputation is now 'continental' somehow, even after just one (very) good season.

 

Should that get me another job in the same division/serie B? I quite fancy a switch to Italy or England. I'm running France also.

I suppose with it being Real Madrid you'll still get some sort of press even if it is at Castilla. You'd have a reputation like say... Karanka although I doubt his is continental.

 

France can be interesting I've found but PSG will do your head in.

Been playing the demo and getting quite into it. Bad for Uni though, so should probably hold off buying the game until March! lol
