Beliall Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Well, i havent managed a club with those resources and the highest fee ive ever paid is 20k, but if the club is still in debt you dont want to be owing 5mil, besides i wouldnt pay 9mill for him if he cant score enough goals to keep his team up. sell your guys though.
Dan Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 What are Leicester like on this years? Similar to how we have fared in real life or the end of last season affecting it? Turd. Generally struggle in the bottom half. Vardy's massively under-rated on this game.
Stadt Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Turd. Generally struggle in the bottom half. Vardy's massively under-rated on this game. His rating probably was spot on based upon last season tbf.
Narborough_fox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 After much deliberation I decided to go for Genoa as my adventure into Europe. Forza Grifoni!
morris1234 Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Played for a while last night. Winning my home games and losing my aways. Destined for 8th. Tempted to bin off Rakitic/Reyes because I'll take in good fees for both. I swear the second I praise a player on here they turn to utter shit. Both of them don't ever react well to a single team talk. Nearly impossible to get either on side. Carlos Bacca is absolutely garbage. On the plus side, Rabello is a very tidy player. Perottis' scoring a lot and Kara bagged four in one game still concerned by us defensively. We haven't improved defensively at all even with the return of my best full-backs, in-fact they're largely the problem. Tempted to sell Fazio and sign Balanta if I can. Anyone know of a quality young deep lying playmaker? Want to sign one, put Iborra in the BBM role and to sell Rakitic because he's pissing me off. His average rating would be turd if it wasn't for his corners. See Sevilla were a bogey team for me. They brought in Marko Marin on loan and had him, Reyes and Bacca up top and despite having decent stats they tore up the league beyond belief through sheer pace r^pe! I tried my Valencia save again by loading a previous save...I think this is glitched as I went on to win 9 games in a row, including my champions league games, was joint top with Real in the BBVA, I then won the next 3 and lost two after that, was then sacked by the board again!!?? It seems the 11 points from 5 games (I think) target they set me at the end of last season is on a loop in this season as despite winning all those games, within the last 5 I've only won 9points! What do I do? Can I salvage this somehow? Tried asking for a new contract to see if that'd reset the 'board confidence' but no joy in getting one!!
Beliall Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 please tell me you're OL. thays awesome. what tactic?

I got rid of Marin because I didn't think he was worth the wage percentage we were paying. Sod's law, Trochowski's just got injured for 6 months. Reyes is a quality player yet only sparingly shows it for me. Bacca hasn't scored in the league for me all season. Absolutely garbage. I'll give him another go eventually but Gameiro's doing it for me. He's one of these players I seem to click with on every single FM for some reason. Used to bag them for fun when I was St Etienne. Valencia hammered me, funnily enough. As comfortable as the wins Barca/Real got over me. I've just won away again (FINALLY) at Espanyol and then beat Betis 1-0. Absolutely slaughtered them, 31 shots to 3, but only the 1 goal to show for it, Perotti yet again. Pricks have stuck two of my players on long-term injuries, including my young centre mid who'd been performing very well. I've got £5mil to spend and I want a quality young deep lying playmaker - sort of like Verratti in previous versions, anyone got a suggestion? I'm quite into this game though. It's frustrating but I've got a feeling I'll stick with these. I like Spain more than I thought I would.
Dan Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Can someone who's in the know about Spanish football explain why Granada are so ****ing good?
Libertine Dream Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Turd. Generally struggle in the bottom half. Vardy's massively under-rated on this game. Which I'm so happy about, tearing up league 2 in my Burton save
CloudFox Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Just started a save with Crawley on this--I have to say, their attacking options aren't too shabby! Nicky Adams has been mercurial so far in pre-season, just bagged a lovely hat-trick for me in a friendly against Man City's U21s. Let's see how this goes.
GLC Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 I have a friend who likes to win every trophy in whatever country he's in, So he started off with Skrill North Barrow, Took them up twice in 3 years, he then left for Crawley, stayed for 4 seasons got them promoted once (Now in league 1) He decided to apply for the Charlton job who were also in League 1, he got the job, but a month later the club was taken over, he got sacked 2 days later1 This was during Pre Season as well
cityfanlee23 Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 After much deliberation I decided to go for Genoa as my adventure into Europe. Forza Grifoni! the days Luca toni was playing there, Genoa were my Fifa team, They were SO OVERPOWERED for a 4* team
cityfanlee23 Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Can someone who's in the know about Spanish football explain why Granada are so ****ing good? They mostly Udinese players! They are the parent club for Grenada, I have an old save with them, Youssef El-Arabi scored 36 in my first season, Went from valued about £3m to £17m in 1 season
morris1234 Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 I'd second that about Granada! Signed that El-Arabi and was garbage for me!!
cityfanlee23 Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 I'd second that about Granada! Signed that El-Arabi and was garbage for me!! I played on fifa with them for a bit, They are quite easy to play with, they seem to be very well gelled and link up well, whether they just suit me or not, im not sure, I cannot find a save I am happy with at the moment I don't know if I want a big team or a small one, I play until January and am thoroughly bored by then

I took Valencia because they used to be brilliant but have ridiculous debt, massive wages for average players and such a mis- match and lack of 'team chemistry'. Despite this though the board expected ridiculous things! As for Granada, I sold Jonas to them as part of the el-Arabi deal as he'd played 11 scored 1. He was woeful, went to Granada and scored 6 in 7!

My current save is just what you explained... I am inter... currently 2nd 5 points behind juventus, but stripped 400k off wage budget, yet to get rid o milito who is on 140k a week.. Just not enjoying it as much... With the reported 800m debt they have, I was expecting a tough yet rewarding save, but without juventus I'd have stormed the league so far, and the "Sugar daddy owner" basically just ploughs money in for fun... All that debt and I got a message yesterday saying "The board are very pleased to announce that a recent improvement in club finances, have resulted in the board increasing your transfer budget from £8.5m to £22m" I want a challenge... 3 more signings in January I'll win the league easily... juventus are mediocre in my save, conceding a shed load... but scoring often... We are scoring ridiculous amounts, but have the best defensive record in the league
Beliall Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 try managing in the lower leagues? honestly i have never had so much enjoyment from FM since managing small sides. where the wage budget goes down, you cant attract even medioca players , but very rewarding when you do well in the league against better and similar sides

As much as I want to hate them, They were one of my first liked teams as a child (The majority of my family originate from Leeds)
Beliall Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 fair enough, while your here can you post that 4-2-3-1 with wingers you mentioned a while back please. trying desperatly to play 2 up top but i cant make it work for any real length of time *i realise thats a contridiction, 2 thoughts in one post
Libertine Dream Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Definitely go for a league 2 or skill premier side Lee. Every year I do one or two of those saves and they are so much more fun.

Let me know how you get on!
cityfanlee23 Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Shall I start as Portsmouth? Financially crumbled, With some potential championship/premiership youth?
