You've given me a new lease of life to start a team I've always followed (Apart from Leicester and Palermo) I'll get a little story going tonight.... Inter Milan, 800m Debt, Past their sell by date high earners like Cambiasso (130kpw), Chivu, Samuel, Milito(145k pw at 34), Palacio Young future stars like Juan Jesus and Mario icardi.... Inter milan will be MY INTER MILAN, Not a retirement home for Ex internationals. Already planned to bring in Eduardo Salvio, Eder Alvarez Balanta, amongst others! Ross-Kemp Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 I won the league cup and have qualified for the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa league. I've got around 10 games left I think, and I'm currently sat 3rd, 4 points ahead of 5th with a game in hand. I'll be delighted if I can qualify for the champions league, I've managed to get Baines, Barkley and Stones to sign long term deals aswell.
Beliall Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 barring a take over, i cant see me turning this club into a scottish premier side, capable of staying there. ive given myself 15 seasons within which to win my first champions league trophy, or at least get close. so i need to be out of berwick in 5 and into a bigger job. its laughable my wage bill compared to others, but we are TURNING A PROFIT!!! and its a great learning excercise, knowing which players are trying to rip you off etc, and thinking more about signings, i have 2 star players playing better than 4 star guys atm

I start new season with plenty of good young talent, mostly Spanish players (of which I had recieved complaints for not doing), reduced the wage budget to 200k less than was budgeted and the lowest since I've been there. Also got them to a Europe league semi and Spanish cup final. ...was then told I had 5 games to get 10 points (after my last game of the season) Start new season with a great side, was sitting top until being beaten by Real Madrid 4-0 away and was down to 10 men... Then go away to osasuna and draw 2-2, drop to 3rd after 7 games with 14 points (of wich I had 13 from 5 games) The Valencia board let me go.. WHAT?!

We had more of everything than them stats wise and my centre halves had a howler. I lack pace at the back and it's my own stupid fault for signing Kara. He's good but he's too similar to Fazio. Not too arsed to be out of the Europa League. Hate it with a passion on FM.
Dan Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 Coming off. Won my opening 3 (3-2 v Atletico, 2-3 at Levante, 2-0 v Malaga) in the league yet lost home and away in embarrassing fashion to Kuban. Playing some very decent stuff in fairness, this formation might even be the trick. I've got to admit it's playing a lot of different instructions to my usual. I've had zero luck with injuries. 8 of my squad are injured already and all three right backs are out for Barcelona away so I expect the run to be finished in embarrassing fashion there. Looking forward to having a fit squad 'cause I've been impressed so far with these. Playing far better than I thought they would on seeing their team.

I love the tactic Do you skip through meetings fast?? Sometimes I forget to do this, But you need to go into "staff responsibilities" and go down "Runs first team general training" I don't do this as I am useless at it, so I let the assistant do it... I think if you leave it sometimes it sets you to organise everything from the first team to the u18 teams... I make sure I am not taking care of any training haha... But if you have not changed it yet, and you are set to take care of training, that will be why... It ruined a save of mine.. Almost won the league with leicester, missed out on automatic promotion by 2 points after a run similar to the leicester city 12/13 season! I then lost in the playoff final 4-0!! I'd had the worst injury run ever, with an average of 7-8 injuries at any given time... I was so pissed off and contemplating leaving, when I realised I had accidentally set myself to take care of the training in the first team, reserves and youth.. so nobody was controlling it, And it was all set to "Light" so nobody was match fit!!

I've tried it with loads of different centre halves and I've never noticed a huge difference to be honest in the results although I may be wrong.

Van dijk first season scored 11 goals from cb, probably cost a bit but over 48 months is manageable!
