Wakeyfox Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 I'm off out on one of the lad's stag do's in Nottingham next Saturday (central for everyone to get to as people are coming from all over for it - wouldn't have been my first choice!) and wondered if anyone had been out in Nottingham en-mass (there's about 25 of us) and where we would be best heading to. Trip to Jerusalem (Pub in a cave supposed to be oldest pub in the world), Pitcher and Piano (converted church) and Canal House (got a canal in it) are always worth a visit, Pit and Pendulum is an interesting one too, sort of goth in decor, skulls candles etc, but does nice cocktails and different to a standard pub, toilet is behind a secret door in a bookcase.

For clubs phone up in advance ask to get on the guestlist, check they are ok with big groups and specifically stag dos, some places don't like it, if you are going to turn up in matching t-shirts and the stag wearing a mankini then best to check in advance, most pubs will reserve a big table or an area for big groups especially if you are planning to eat. If you are not going for the usual Stag get up and just all going to be wearing jeans and t-shirts then you shouldn't have any problem getting in, but get on the guest list as it makes it all a lot easier with big groups. Pitcher and Piano is a big place, and very nice, but a bit pricey and one I could imagine being a bit wary about Stag dos.
Guest MattP Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 No chance of P&P in a group that big. Just split up into 4's and 5's when you walk and you will get in anywhere, it isn't that hard. Can't really go wrong in Nottingham anywhere, never had a bad night out, pisses all over Leicester.
deejdeej Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Went there last weekend, no denying its a better night than leicester but like everyone else has said split up into small groups and you'll be fine. Even the yates there is 3 times the size of ours.
