Bilbo Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Is anyone else having problems logging onto Foxestalk? All week I've been getting "server not found" messages.
Mark Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 For some reason Sky have incorrect DNS entries for FoxesTalk so people using Sky broadband are having problems getting on. until Sky clear/update their cache which should sort the issue out there's nothing I can do. What I would suggest though is change your DNS services to somewhere else e.g. Google (their DNS servers are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), I believe this will fix the problem for now.

Cheers for the response mate, although I'm having the same problem on my iPhone which uses 3G?
Lobsterboyuk Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Cheers for the response mate, although I'm having the same problem on my iPhone which uses 3G? Me too, I can't get to FoxesTalk on my iphone at all now (earlier in the week it was intermittent. Tried on an iphone 4 on o2 and a 5 on vodafone, both the same

savillefoxes Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Same problem here. my phone is on EE and one minute I can get on then the next it won't let me
Lobsterboyuk Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 My Vodafone phone works again, but no joy on O2, weird!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 I had these issues all day yesterday and abit this morning. We're using Tesco Broadband at home and I use Vodafone on my mobile (using my WiFi and the 3G network) and I was unable to access the site on either. I assumed it was more issues with the server but then I saw tweets from Foxestalk from where new threads were being created. Then I wondered if any IP address that I use had been blocked because I'm on this site too much.
davieG Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 That's weird, strange that other people haven't flagged it up before now. I did but as I got no response I thought it was me so have spent the last week trying all sorts of things. I can get on now and again when I clear all data from Chrome but it doesn't always work. i have the same problem with the generic Internet app they came with my tablet.
Leicester_Numan Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Someone on twitter was having problems getting on here from 2 different devices yesterday
Leicester_Numan Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 My Vodafone phone works again, but no joy on O2, weird!I'm on O2 and not having any issues
foxer Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 I've had issues every now and again but I'm abroad so thought it was that
Bilbo Posted 2 August 2013 Author Posted 2 August 2013 Sometimes I can get on (as I started this topic) however only sporadically. I have to soak up as much info as I can win I do manage to get on mind
Guest kristianity77 Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Yeah I think we first thought it was a Sky issue. I was not able to log on at all yesterday throughout the day. But then i tried on my phone a couple of times, through 3G (o2) and still couldnt get on. God knows
Bilbo Posted 2 August 2013 Author Posted 2 August 2013 It must be something to do with them updating/changing the server (don't know the technicalities) because I've never had this problem before.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Problems all week getting on via 3G on my O2 network, but no issues with virgin broadband. Any advice?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Yes. Loads of problems. Keep being told the site is probably down.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Same phone via wifi and I get straight on. Seems to be o2 3G - other sites work fine on 3G, very strange... I'm on O2 and not having any issues Is that via 3G on a phone? My o2 broadband is fine...
whoareyaaa Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Fine here apart from one or two hours last week I think, on Virgin though so that's probably why.
Bilbo Posted 2 August 2013 Author Posted 2 August 2013 No offence Foxestalk but in 2013 a website should work regardless of what ISP or device you are using to view it.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Now it's working fine on 3G for the first time In a ffew days
Ian W LCFC Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 No problems what so ever for me. Talk Talk - cheap and cheerful (apart from the customer service)
Jaspa Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 It has been brought up before, there is a thread for it in User Feedback and Support - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/89497-problems-today/ Not that I'm against this thread, it just Ive been having these issues for a while too
