Sydney the Fox Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 legend my shaved bean bag! he had a chance to be a leicester legend if he had left us with good grace but no instead he was whinging about some money he was owed by us,kissing badges playing against us! compare that to a proper legend how muzzy izzet behaved at and after the time of leaving us! savage whether he admits it or not had his best footballing days at Leicester and he cant acknowledge that now cause he behaved like a proper bellend towards us! long haired beaky clown. This - I agree
BoneDog Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 Loved him when he was here. And enjoyed one of his songs he did in his car when he played for Derby - "Leacock, Moxey, Byyyyywater". I always sing that when I see one of those players. Overall I have fond memories of his time at Leicester, but he is a bit of a clown.
Jace Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 Who was it he didn't get on with at Leicester then apart from Wise?
RonnieTodger Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 I love him. He's certainly not in the same bracket as Lennon, Izzet, Walsh etc. but he's a character and football is running out of non-criminal ones now. He was always a wind-up merchant and evidently a good one.
inckley fox Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 He was booed from the start. I remember it clearly He got an ovation where I was that day.
Callabinho Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 He's a twat, shit footballer and equally shit pundit. Izzet and Lennon were our midfield this willy puller just ran around like a wounded gazelle and got paid a pretty penny for it.
sylofox Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 You really think he has done anything different to 95% of players. When a bigger/richer club comes calling they will all play games. And as for tapping up by players who did'nt think it happened. So did anyone really think players on international duty don't try n talk players into joining there club. Also ex team mates phoning eachother up. Oh and the best one managers asking players to talk to ex team mates. He's said nothing thats not happening daily at all clubs. He ain't special now and was not as a player but he did give 100% to us. Then left and became the tw@ to us that he was to every other club when he was with us. As Harry Redknapp said I hate him but would love him in my side.
Aylestone Fox Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 Clown,..just the thought of him winds me up. Wasnt a good player, an even worse pundit just trying to keep his face/name alive as he wont be remembered for his footballing prowess. I'd put him alongside that other clown (on Sky, his names gone) who doesnt have anything good to say about City. People like him do my friggin head in, hope we beat the sheep sha**ers tomorrow and see if the tw*t kisses the Derby badge then.
Guest Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 ran his bollocks off for us. big reason we did so well loved him.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 As much as his antics after he left the club were disappointing it's quite hard to say he didn't do well for us, he certainly wasn't shit.
MrSpaM Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 Its good that he's explained how players do this sort of thing, whats not very good is that he seems to have tried every single one of them at some point in his career. It dosnt bode well for him when he's addmiting he went on the pitch and didnt try just because he wanted a move away from the club.
hackneyfox Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 He was booed from the start. I remember it clearly No he wasn't, we were in the kop and when he came out the whole end stood up and applauded him with the exception of one of my mates who called us all wankers and blamed Savage for us getting relegated. When he got Elliott sent off everyone booed him except my mate who once again called us a ll wankers.
Far Post Gerry Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 I remember having a proper fight with my step-bro about Savage. He couldn't stand him; said he was "everything that's wrong with football", and should ashamed of himself. He was a Man Utd fan and reckon Fergie kicked him out because of his attitude, a la Lee Sharpe. I loved Sav, and defended him to the death. Then the twat went and kissed the Brum badge. My bro was right...
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 He's a twat, shit footballer and equally shit pundit. Izzet and Lennon were our midfield this willy puller just ran around like a wounded gazelle and got paid a pretty penny for it.I would go with that, as for booing him I seem to recall mocking him and the fans chanting something along the lines of there is only one Lilly Savage and my eldest keeps telling me when he scored a thirty yarder the whole of filbert st was like a grave yard!!And the answer to the question is he is a legend and a clown
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 Ok. Anyone who voted legend, time to re-consider... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01fbc3x
NEfox Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 great player for us but get annoyed most of the time when I see him as a pundit
Nick Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 Savage is a clown. I didn't think much to him when meeting him out on the town socially either tbh. He was however our clown, our terrier and I loved him as a Leicester footballer. Punditry is a tough game believe it or not - we have seen way too many wooden ex players over the years fail miserably. Savage though with a bit of work and and political training as to when not to open his mouth has the confidence and charisma to perhaps be good at it - but it'll take time. Good luck to him.
MooseBreath Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 He's a real life troll; the pantomime villain. Probably a bit of a cvnt in real life but anyone with the charisma to play that role while in the public eye deserves a bit of respect. Rather Savage than your Michael Owen's of this world who bore you to tears.
