Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Simple question really: Do you think that we should rotate the squad around more? Seems more than coincidence that the three games we have lost this season have came after a long stretch of games playing almost the same starting 11 in the league. I suppose it was particularly evident yesterday and the Donny game especially in the midfield areas where both King and Drinkwater looked very leggy. The wingers too were not looking as sharp as in previous games and was wondering is this down to playing too many games in a short space of time? This is not a criticism by any means just wondering if anyone else sees it the same way.
Jimmy Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 when playing twice a week for a long stretch we should, especially in central midfield to keep everyone fresh and match sharp, I personally feel its about time Hammond got some league starts along side King (my preference) to give us some more physicality in midfield.
Number 6 Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 One of the failings for me is sticking with a winning team no matter what. I'd be happier with a horses for courses approach. Nothing wrong with changing personnel to better suit the opposition, even if it is following a win.
Happy Fox Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Vitally important now with Knockaert suspended for Ipswich who the f**K goes on the right flank?
foxfanazer Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Vitally important now with Knockaert suspended for Ipswich who the f**K goes on the right flank? There is nobody! We can't go into the second half of the season with no cover on the wings. We will most ptobably have to chamge our system just because we can't cover that position

We will most ptobably have to chamge our system just because we can't cover that position That is why I am hoping NP brings in a right winger on loan it was criminal imo not to bring in a RW after Marshall left because we have no cover now which is annoying, because quite clearly 4-4-2 is our best formation.

foxfanazer Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Already suggested him but Graham Dorrans is available on loan. Can play right wing or centre mid. Maybe not a great attacking option but he'd be a solid championship player
Happy Fox Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Already suggested him but Graham Dorrans is available on loan. Can play right wing or centre mid. Maybe not a great attacking option but he'd be a solid championship player Would prefer him as a central midfielder because in that position he is quality at this level for me we need an out and out winger primarily who can play on the right, not too sure who is available and realistic, would of loved us to bring in Albrighton before he went to Wigan. Cameron Stewart anyone? At Charlton on loan to January.

Happy Fox Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Taylor-Fletcher will play right wing That would be beyond terrible.
DennisNedry Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Taylor Fletcher is too slow to play wide. I think we should rotate King and James. I really rate James and think King has looked leggy at times. Drinky has been playing very well this season so I'd leave him in.

LCFC FOX Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 The lad who signed a 5 year deal, must see something in him
Jimmy Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 The lad who signed a 5 year deal, must see something in him no one has signed a 5 year deal
LCFC FOX Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 no one has signed a 5 year deal oh was that just bullshit then?
Jimmy Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 oh was that just bullshit then? who was it then? you're so sure someone did but can't name the player...
Aus Fox Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 With our supporters you can't win, keep a winning team and you get criticised drop a player and you get criticised. I However I do like the horses for courses approach and I think that's what we had earlier in the season particularly away. For Ipswich without Knocky I think Vardy will play in the right wing position in a 4-5-1, with Schluup on the other wing and Hammond coming in to sit in the centre of midfield.
Father Ted Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 I think we have been lucky that this will be the 3rd international break already giving our players quite a bit of rest. I'm concerned that Knockaert and Dyer are out only two out and out wingers though.
LCFC FOX Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 who was it then? you're so sure someone did but can't name the player... the development player? Adam Dawson I think
Jimmy Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 yeah we signed a 21 year old midfielder from Barrow to a 5 year deal whilst first teamers only get 3 year deals...
