Waking up in Paris after a night out...

Seriously, how?! lol

According to his twitter feed he caught a taxi to Manchester Airport and booked a flight to Paris on his phone, then woke up in the toilets of Charles De Gaulle Airport.

Doesn't he have any friends? If I was that fúcked, or any of my mates were that fúcked they wouldn't be getting a taxi home (or in fact to Manchester Airport) on their bill.

Fair play it's lead to a pretty funny story but I'd be right pissed off if I'd done that, I'd wanna know where my mates went and why they clearly didn't give a shit about me.

You'd never manage that on your £20 a night budget :P

When I lived in Palermo we drunkenly decided to get a boat to Tunisia, but we'd been thinking about it anyway so it's not quite as mental as this one.

Judging by his Twitterfeed it's clearly something that he did fairly consciously and is trying to claim was spontaneous/something he cannot remember doing.

Exactly. If you're so ****ed you can't remember anything, it's unlikely that you managed to get a flight to Paris on your own.

Yeah just read through that.

"Booked on his phone" - if he was that drunk he wouldn't even have been able to see his phone, let alone find flights at the right time, book them, card details etc.

If he'd got a plane he wouldn't have been allowed on if he was that drunk.

If you were so pissed that you can go to Paris and have no memory of how you got there then you're not getting let on the flight and you're probably not even getting to the airport.

Cleary something that he's done for a bit of show and kudos. And judging by the amount of arse-licking, indulgent Tweets that he's re-tweeting it's worked! Even given all that, I would say what a waste of time and money, but I'm sure he'll try and dine out on it for some time.

I find it highly unlikely he'd be allowed on the plane if he was that pissed.

Was thinking that myself, but I've had mates in complete states board flights with no trouble before.

The bit I find least believable is him getting from Charles de Gaulle into the middle of Paris despite not claiming to speak a word of French.

Did he just happen to have his passport in his pocket then? Also, if people are drunk they're not allowed on the plane.

Seems a bit suspicious to me.

Add in the fact that you only have to scroll down his Twitter feed to see Tweets from the last time he was out about getting chucked out of 'Tokes' and sneaking back in etc.

Clearly just that immature lad who pops up when you start going out and who is oh so ker-ay-zee on a night out. Always got the story of the mental thing they did when pissed which they have no control over and supposedly wonder how it happened. He'll grow out of it bless him.

If he was sober when he did that, then the Paris metro isn't that hard to figure out. If he was drunk then, yeah, I'd have my doubts.

Woke up at 1.30pm in the airport toilets.

Hardly believable, he couldn't have been that drunk to find the check-in desk, go through security, wait in departures and then find the correct gate.

My workmates from Brighton. He was at mates stag night years back. They woke up the next morning on the beach. Looking at his watch he thought it best they got up and had a quick bite to eat before the wedding at lunchtime. They couldn't work out why all the cafes on the sea front were all French. Til they realised what they'd done.

The stag never did get married.

Is it that unbelievable? It doesn't seem hard to text etc on your phone when bladdered. And you dont have to look outwardly wankered to feel paraletic yourself. Plus most times I've flown ive been blind drunk and have not had problems boarding.

Its not that unbelievable

Texting is a lot easier to do drunk than managing to put your card details in on a website.

Think you can get through Europe on a driving license, but he would have to talk about someone to it and if he was pissed it seems unlikely.

Some people do take passports out too.
