After those 6 league games we'll be exactly at the halfway stage of the season. If we can be on 48-50 points after those 6 games (so another 10-12 points), I'll be delighted to ****!

I might be wrong but every time we do one of these threads we seem to go on a horror run.

One game at a time please.

With all due respect, we've done at least three of these threads this season and we're top of the league.

IMO the big games are Sheffield Wed, Burnley and Reading.

I feel Sheffield Wed is a waste if we dont win..on paper an 'easy' game.

Burnley & Reading considering at home and challengers we MUST not lose the games..draw is ok but wins would put us in a great position.

Brighton away is a tough game and wont be too bad should we lose as its not going to effect us hugely at this stage and is a tricky game anyway. QPR away is the toughest game in the league, a draw would be fantastic and a loss wouldnt be a problem, especially if we beat Burnley the week before.

I think this as my predictions:

Sheffield Wed(W)

Brighton(L)

Burnley(D)

Man City(L)

QPR(L)

Reading(W)

Bolton(W)

I think Burnley will be a huge game. We win and we could potentially kick on and pull away, if lose we could be in a real battle. A draw will keep us guessing..QPR will then be awfully tough as it is, let alone on the back of 3 really tough games. I feel we will need some backbone and bottle vs Reading. Can see that being a make or break game after a blip and them right behind us by a point or 2, we'd need to win that and am going to trust our backbone this year that we will and kick back on afterwards vs Bolton.

Just to give a little perspective I've pasted Burnely and QPR's fixtures below - i'd say QPR have equally as tough a month and while Burnely seem to have a slightly easier run they are going to struggle with the frequency of games due to their squad depth (or lack thereof)

QPR Fixtures:

QPR v Bournemouth

QPR v Blackburn

Blackpool v QPR

QPR v Leicester

Nottm Forest v QPR

Watford v QPR

Burnley Fixtures:

Burnley v Watford

Burnley v Barnsley

Leicester v Burnley

Burnley v Blackpool

Middlesbrough v Burnley

Wigan v Burnley

Good post, a lot of folk seem to forget it not just about us, it's what the other teams chasing, yes I said it, chasing us do.

Where as it's right to say we can't lose promotion over the month we sure can go a long way to laying a solid foundation to achive it

I bet all of those championship teams are thinking "shit, we've got to play Leicester"

Not really no. Cos theyll raise their game and as anyone knows, anything can happen in football, particularly in this league and moreso with Leicester.

thanks for that, i wouldn't say burnley's run is that easy though, they have to play us, which is a big game for them, a blackpool side who have done well this season, a watford side who can be a lot better than they are at the moment, and two sides which are entering new era's, karanka at boro, and whoever is appointed at wigan, those sides will be high in confidence, i wouldn't say those fixtures are much easier than ours, with the exception of man city of course.

Well 3 points on the board tonight will add a win to our played list and take one fixture off the schedule. Take it game by game and hopefully this long old month will start to look better. I think We will need 4 points from these 2 away games as both QPR and burnley have relatively mediocre teams at home.
