C-man Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 How about leaving L1ers to decide what they want to do and concentrate on just the people in the Kop. Could start a campaign to 'unite the kop' and get everyone who wants to stand and sing in 1 area. Then if people in L1 like the look of it they will join. Absolutely the way forward in my opinion. Some of those in N1 could hopefully be persuaded to join too. This is not an impossible task. There is plenty of space in that SK1 to G1 corner where people could easily move to. I guess the ultimate goal would be to request that the Club relocate the minimal number of STHs in that area, obviously and make it a completely unreserved area on a first come first served basis. I'm not sure if the technology provides for it but they could potentially put a limit on the turnstiles that feed that area to ensure that it wouldn't be overcrowded. It would encourage everyone to get in the ground earlier, which can't be a bad thing for crowd control and is likely to increase the amount of beer and food sold. But I guess it's just too sensible to take off.

This sounds like it could be the way forwards, So how does everyone suggest we go about it, Will be a dissappointment if I get to my new seat, and I'm the only one that's bothered.. Could the Foxestalk army unite? All pick an area to buy tickets, forum poll? I saw a post yesterday that within an hour had 5,000 views, we potentially have the numbers here to make it work...
AndWhat? Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Needs to be bigger than just foxestalk I think. But it will need the clubs help like C-man said...... Which I won't hold my breath for.
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 December 2013 Author Posted 20 December 2013 Needs to be bigger than just foxestalk I think. But it will need the clubs help like C-man said...... Which I won't hold my breath for. I know but it has to start somewhere, and the club won't volunteer! But as I said I saw a post that had over 5,000 views in about an hour.. so we do have a good amount of people on here? How many members are there do we know? Once we build the foundations surely the club could help? But if someone approaches the club with a "We want to do this but don't know how, where or when" I can tell you the answer now! Would it be stupid to do a FT poll to say "Would you potentially move to here to create an atmosphere?" I have quite a few followers, and quite a few city fans aswell... there are leicester news accounts with a few thousand followers, could we divert them to the poll? Etc Etc.. something has to be done.
LCFC FOX Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 They kick out a man for standing at the back of the KOP banging on the back,, I doubt they will advertise getting all the singers in the KOP into SK1. I'm sorry but it's got to be done by our selves, if you arrange everyone to buy near the back of SK1 in that corner what can they do

We aren't doing anything illegal, we are trying to create some atmosphere. We don't need anything from the club in my opinion. Re ideas to implement - I know a few people I can tell to buy tickets up in that area for say one game. An idea might be to pick one home game in the new year to try this out for so it gives time to build momentum - Get a sticky thread on FT advertising this? Contact Radio Leicester? Advertise the idea on soical media? Hand out flyers at away games? I don't know, hope we can sort something though

Shame derby is on a friday really... that would be perfect but attendance will be lower... Middlesborough? gives us a good month to get it going if everyone thinks it's a good idea to trial for a game? No doubt we will be coming on the saturday night saying "What a fvck up that was "
AndWhat? Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Boro game sounds good to me. Got a mate coming over from Germany for that, won't be as embarrassing!
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 December 2013 Author Posted 20 December 2013 Boro game sounds good to me. Got a mate coming over from Germany for that, won't be as embarrassing! It will if it's us 3 up there freezing our arses like a few spares at a wedding surrounded by 500 empty seats
AndWhat? Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 It will work if it gets publicised properly. Need Filbo spirit to get involved and take over the organising!
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 December 2013 Author Posted 20 December 2013 It will work if it gets publicised properly. Need Filbo spirit to get involved and take over the organising! Would be a good suggestion, Twitter is big for a start, I could advertise a lot on there... @Theknowlestweet if I don't follow any of you tell me
LCFC FOX Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Filbo Spirit I believe has Twitter, tweet him and tell him the details. Singing section in the corner SK1 at the top against Middlesbrough. We need to get flyers and the message across.

I would have thought the club would support this. Moving the singing section back to kop is what they had planned all along. My advice is just do it. If you make enough noise , others will follow.

It was mentioned jon that although we are not encouraging standing, support the notion may encourage more to stand (Which is natural) And the club cannot be seen to be supporting the idea if it becomes a H+S issue!
jonthefox Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 I think if theres standing, the club would much prefer it in the kop as opposed to L1. Less stewards needed i suppose. Maybe if L1 clears of singers in time, the club may realise they can flog them as premium seats.

AndWhat? Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 Just wondering, seeing as my season ticket is in SK1, where do you plan relocating me to? IF that were to ever happen, I would think they would offer anybody a relocation to where ever they wanted up to the same value of their current season ticket. But I highly doubt the club would ever offer to do anything like that, so it would be down to people to naturally migrate towards the standing and singing or away from it.
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 December 2013 Author Posted 20 December 2013 Just wondering, seeing as my season ticket is in SK1, where do you plan relocating me to? If you plan to sing with us stay where you are haha
Bert Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 What if these people don't want to move though? That's the point Yorkie was trying to make. It's great that something pro-active is trying to be done, but there's more obstacles to this than people think.
AndWhat? Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 There's no point even going down this road to be fair. There is no chance in hell the club would take the side of people trying to stand and sing over people wanting to sit and watch the game.
