Walshy5 Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 agree with this entirely. Wood could score alot of goals but we use him in the wrong way. I think that if we get out of the mentality of hoofing it up to wood, then he can deliver He did in his first 6 or so games, but then we started to go route 1 and he was much less effective. Has a hell of shot on him if it opens up
Rasmic123 Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 wickham scores goals (as he did against us) and is clearly a very good player at this level. if we did get wickham, i think there would be little use for wood though
Strokes Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 I would go for becchio, he still has a point to prove and his workrate is excellent.
Bettsj2 Posted 20 December 2013 Posted 20 December 2013 We'll sign a left back for the development team and we'll all cry ourselves to sleep.
broughtonblue Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Kevin Phillips is to be released in January, I think personally he would be great short term capture till the end of the season. The natural poacher we are missing, and a very experienced player for our younger strikers , vardy, schlup, hopper, Blythe etc to learn off. Can't really see a negative in this!
justfoxes Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Out of them Becchio for me. But I'd like Kevin Phillips or Patrick Bamford on loan. Think Kevin Phillips would be great for the later part of the season coming off the bench a player that certainly knows where the goal is and can certainly change a game ! Connor Wickham a great up and coming lad a perfect partner for Vardy or wood great crosser of the ball and gives us more options with free kicks! Vydra a great shout but can't see that one happening !! Agree with others another RW would be good to get also maybe another solid defender who could play anywhere in the back !!
dog_4 Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 we need a striker and need a winger. Conner Wickham has impressed me every time for Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday and winger wise Chris Burke, He has really impressed me for Cardiff and Birmingham. I think its financially possible too. I think with 11 players out of contract they can base what will be saved from that to help fund a couple of transfers.
sylofox Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Am thinking as our debit is wrote off we have some money to spend. If our owners are still backing us. If they are they won't spend on someone to just get us up. They/pearson has said anyone in jan has to be prem class. If that's true could we right off this list and pen in a whole new set of players??
