MPH Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Why stop at one? I'd go for two!! becchio and guidetti
Deucalion Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 I voted Vydra but to be honest, I wish I'd said Fryatt. A goal poacher is exactly what we need.
wight88 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Are you being serious? The only people happy to see him in leicester would be the casinos. I wasn't to be fair, can't stand the horrible **** for the record. Crap effort at irony there mate, can't win em all, sorry
Soar Fox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 I wasn't to be fair, can't stand the horrible **** for the record. Crap effort at irony there mate, can't win em all, sorry Ha ha no worries it's hard to know what's sarcasm and what's not over the internet.
Donut Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Becchio would be a good player. Strong, nasty when needed, and knows where the net is.
Happy Fox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Nahki Wells knows where the back of the net is and is fast as f**K, would love him here.
muzzy1981 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Got a sneaky feeling we might go for wickham on loan, fits the Pearson bill, plus he played really well against us this season.
bald reynard Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 This is true, I don't know why :-( It's 'coz we've got such crap midfielders. The only way we'll get our strikers to bag a decent number of goals, is to sign a good, creative midfielder. Drinkwater, King and James are just so one-dimensional (Hammond, even more so) - none of them can pick out a decent forward 20/30 yard pass to a striker (they only seem to be able to pass sideways). That's the priority for the January window.

The supply is plentiful, but of poor quality. Saying that, Nugent and Vardy have also missed some fookin sitters this season, as did Beckford when he was here.
sylofox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Sylvan Ebanks-Blake Seems to have gone to ipswich Matty Fryatt Loan deal praps Nakhi Wells Won't get on loan and not prem class Dimitar Berbatov (yeah right) Lucciano Becchio Loan Matej Vydra Loan Connor Wickham Loan Mutch as I hate to say it think fryatt or Becchio if we could get him in. Don't see Wells as an option could he hack this step up and what chance if we go up too big a gamble. Plus NP said anyone coming in had to be prem quality. i really don't see him taking a gamble (if it don't work it will cost him a new contract)
adam95581 Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 We seem to put so many balls in the box that a striker with an aerial threat wouldn't be a bad shout...perhaps Wickham would be that. Only concern is a tall striker encourages long balls...
Devonfox1884 Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 Fryatt on loan. If loads of chances are created for him, he'll put two, if not three times more chances away than nuge. Would love him back.
Johnny Cash Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 Wickham's available apparently. I never used to rate him but he's grown on me as a player. When was the last time he didn't score against us?

SystonFox Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 When was the last time he didn't score against us?This weekend when we played Burnley ;-)Whoooooosh I voted for Vydra but of course he is on loan at WBA. Out of the rest I'd take BECCHIO first then WICKHAM then fryatt
Simonb Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 I THINK IN DRINKWATER WE HAVE ONE OF THE BEST PASSERS IN THE LEAGUE PROBLEM IS THE LACK OF MOVEMENT IN FRONT OF HIM THE STRIKERS MOVE, BUT IN THE WRONG PLACES IE IN THE SAME DIRECTION OR BEHIND THEIR MARKER SO THERES NO OPTIONS FOR HIM AND THE OTHER MIDFIELDERS WE COULD DO WITH EITHER GETTING AN INTELLIGENT FORWARD, LIKE KEV PHILLIPS (BIT OLD TO PLAY WEEK IN WEEK OUT THOUGH) OR GET A DECENT RIGHT WINGER AND PLAY KNOCKAERT IN BEHIND ONE FORWARD AS HE'D SPLIT MOST TEAM OPEN WITH HIS MOVEMENT AND DISTRIBUTION

Walshy5 Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 Becchio is a good shout. Id definitely take him. Proven goal scorer in this league.
surrifox Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 it wont be any of those - I expect a youth team / reserve team player from the prem.
HoustonFox Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 I'm interested who people would drop for this new striker.
Guest Col city fan Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 Any chance of Harry Kane returning..... Fingers crossed! He dont.........
stb1996 Posted 19 December 2013 Posted 19 December 2013 I think that if we get out of the mentality of hoofing it up to wood, then he can deliver He did in his first 6 or so games, but then we started to go route 1 and he was much less effective. Has a hell of shot on him if it opens up
