Formula 1 2014

Glad double points have been dropped.

Still dislike the three-car team idea.

Kudos to Mercedes on being so good, it's down to the other teams to work hard to close the gap. I really like the way they've gone about things this last season, allowing their drivers to race. Even though it was a one-car domination again it was so much of an improvement on 2013.

Problem is they can't close the gap. In previous seasons rule changes were quickly enforced to allow teams to catch up and the cars all had similar amounts of power so the changes were mainly aero which is fairly easy to copy as it is visible. With the new engine development restrictions that diminish every year for the next 4 years, if you've got the most powerful engine, you'll always stay ahead of the chasing teams because you can't copy something you can't see. So expect 4 more years of mercedes dominance with no other team being allowed to catch them. Hardly fair is it.

But i suspect Ferrari may cry wolf again and get the rules on development changed as it affects their car business and Redbull will ditch Renault which allows them to fully develop their own engine from "scratch"  and seeing how  Honda have been able  to jump  in knowing the goalpost's that mercedes has set.

Back to back races in Korea and Spain :xmasunsure:

The FIA has announced that the Korean Grand Prix is set to return to the Formula 1 calendar for 2015, pushing the number of races up to 21.

Wednesday's FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting confirmed the F1 schedule for next year, with a Korean GP on May 3 being added.

The Korean race's status was highlighted as 'to be confirmed'.

It is unclear if the race is being planned at the Mokpo track that hosted the event from 2010-13, or if it will be the Seoul street circuit idea that is being pushed for by former race promoter Joe Chung.

The ratified calendar features a few tweaks from the provisional version that was announced in September.

The Bahrain GP has been moved to after the Chinese GP, with their race dates changing to form a back-to-back.

The Korean GP is then pencilled in to take place just a week before the Spanish GP.

March 15 Australian GP
March 29 Malaysian GP

Some cvnt has driven a 4x4 through the doors at the Red Bull factory and nicked 60 trophies.

Really? What would you even do that?

They are mostly worthless replicas apparently, hope the idiots don't even get scrap value.

"McLaren had intended to retain Magnussen on the basis that the team's data had suggested he was fractionally quicker"

No wonder their car is fvcking abysmal, one must presume according to their data it's by far the quickest on the grid.

Had to be, definitely the correct decision as far as gaining the most amount of points possible next season goes. I hope he'll surprise a few people, more than matched Lewis when he was there and at the very least he'll give Alonso more to think about than Kimi ever did.
