It's not actually tremendously easy to spray the ball around from left back, especially in this league. All I see is a committed and talented full back when I watch him play.

He's pretty reliable. Solid player. Getting on a little in years though.

Think a lot on here judge him by his salary or assumed salary, think he can still do a job as does Nigel. Would not have a problem if offered  a new contract but would hope it would reflect more realistically our balancing the books.

Reliable yes. We can always rely on him to contribute nothing to a game.

Defensively extremely week, no pace, very slow to cover mistakes by others and himself.

Passing appalling against qpr gave the ball away more than any other player.

Attacking no comment.

Reliably the weakest link in a pretty good team. I genuinely feel that a decent left back is a key priority in January.

Just watch him at Reading and Bolton and see what he actually does. Back Pearson all the way but genuinely think he's got this one wrong

Sometimes I feel like I've watched a different game to some on here, in the ratings thread people give Konchesky a 7 or 8 and he's consistently poor but average at best.

The only problem with him for me is his wage.

Thats the reason he gets stick if he was on 8 or 10k no one would complain about him.

But as we think he is on 25 to 30k he gets slated.

Like all players he has good and bad games more good than bad to me but few great games

He's perfectly competent at this level, neither a 'great servant' nor a 'weak link'. He's a good, solid left-back, and we're lucky to have him. Won't be good enough if we go up, but he's fine for a promotion-chasing side.
