XLM Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Fact is if he was quicker he'd still be in the Premiership. Great experience to have at this level though no doubt. Would like to see him get into attacking positions more often as he has a good strike on him
fleckneymike Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Always thought it'd make a great name for a TV cop series. KONCHESKY
Unabomber Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Fell off a bit last season, but has been good again this season and his experience is vital for us imo.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Boooooo!!!, he's a fvcking disgrace, past it. Oh wait, we won our last game. Yay, he's a legend. This is every thread on this forum.
MrSpaM Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 KONCHESKIIII THAT'LL DO IT A CRACKER, FROM KONCHESKY! I think that's been imprinted on my brain after the past couple of seasons
allextonfox Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Wonder why the transfer broke down to QPR! Best transfer him to skeggy beach
LCFC FOX Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 I love that video they show on the screens before kick off, Koncheskiiiiiii always puts a smile on my face and will be well known for that. Good player but would honestly release at the end of the season no matter what division we are in
DanTheFox07 Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Don't rate him, poor positional sense, liability, stray passes and shit crossing recently! ive said before would rather play schlupp for his pace and overlapping with dyer!
Danno Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Don't rate him, poor positional sense, liability, stray passes and shit crossing recently! ive said before would rather play schlupp for his pace and overlapping with dyer! lol . Oh my god
Father Ted Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 I gave him a lot of crap last season and a fair few did, he seemed to really regress last season but this season he's been very solid and reliable like he was in his first season. Paul Konchesky is a blue!
Stadt Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 I don't understand the love, I don't rate him at all, in fact I'd say he's the weak link in our side.
Soar Fox Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Don't rate him, poor positional sense, liability, stray passes and shit crossing recently! ive said before would rather play schlupp for his pace and overlapping with dyer! lol I'm guessing you don't watch many Leicester if you are saying Konchesky is poor positionally and you'd rather play Schlupp.
iamafox Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Wasn't excited when he first signed, not a player that I rate highly but I think he has done a decent job for us. Not sure if he fully deserves a new contract though. But I wouldn't want Schlupp to be our first choice left back should Konch leave.
Stadt Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Don't rate him, poor positional sense, liability, stray passes and shit crossing recently! ive said before would rather play schlupp for his pace and overlapping with dyer!Agree with this bar the Schlupp part, Konchesky would be my primary target for a long term replacement. He'll do for now but he's too slow, too negative with his passing and for his age makes too many silly fouls.
conLAD logan Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 he plays well, but it's his lack of pace that worries me
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Had a very good first season, wasn't great last season but has been very good again this season.
crisp monster Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Done ok and his experience could be useful in the crunch games. Would be too expensive to keep next season in the championship and no longer good enough for the premier. As said before - I think we should say thanks and move him on whatever our position come May
jamesmilner Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 a proper family man , not a biggy big bollox bighead, a very professional player . only has the odd off game , reliable more than most . i like him .
I blame Wellens Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Reliable yes. We can always rely on him to contribute nothing to a game. Defensively extremely week, no pace, very slow to cover mistakes by others and himself. Passing appalling against qpr gave the ball away more than any other player. Attacking no comment. Reliably the weakest link in a pretty good team. I genuinely feel that a decent left back is a key priority in January. Just watch him at Reading and Bolton and see what he actually does. Back Pearson all the way but genuinely think he's got this one wrong
MGLCFC Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Good job Pearson's in charge then, Wellens as he seems to rate him.
StanSP Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Very much fond of him this season so far. His experience is obviously very key and will stand us in good stead I'd like to think. One minor criticism is that sometimes his passing can be a bit off the mark. Especially when he plays balls in to midfielders and it can often catch us out. That's minor though because very often he can link up with Dyer to perfection and I'm sure Dyer loves having a calm and composed defender directly behind him.
I blame Wellens Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Experience but can't pass a ball ten yards. That's great then. You'd of thought with all the experience he'd of learnt to pass a football
MATLCFC Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 I honestly think Konch is average at the very best. Often found out of position, more often than not doesn't find a blue shirt with a pass, constantly overlaps yet can't cross a ball to save his life. His performances are 'steady', although I'd hope so for a reported £25 - £30k a week. He would be one of the first players I'd replace if we got up.
