Haydos Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 I really don't think this can be working well for us. Take a look at the facts: Alex Ferguson never did it, neither does Wenger or Mourinho or any of the other managers in our division. And look where we are! Top of the league? Imagine where we could be if he was pitchside, getting stuck in and motivating the players. Starting to get concerned now.

Quite obviously we need to shut down the lighting in the stadium and run the flood lights of a generator EVERY GAME the confusion over the lights clearly puts off the opposition and gives us an much needed edge Just imagine where we'd be now if we'd of done this from the start of the season!
conLAD logan Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 a squirrel invading the pitch is quite helpful to
cc_star Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Squirrels & powercuts We win regardless of these insurmountable obstacles in our way
Babylon Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Nobody else does it so that means he's wrong!! Look at Reading, manager on the sidelines and a great motivated performance.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 I'm gonna work on the basis of this thread being a windup. Otherwise the OP could be accused of being a moaning moron. But I'm sure that's not the case right?

whitlock Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 WHO FCUKING CARES We are top of the league - enjoy it
rico Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 I wouldnt care if he sat on the shitter all game as long as the results keep coming
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 I guarantee you the next time we lose two games in a row (or even draw two, fvcking hell that's equally disastrous) there'll be someone chirping "isn't it time Pearson came down from the stands?"
Unabomber Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Remember that thread where people were actually complaining about him sitting in the stand?!
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Wow! Hasn't this thread become sarcastic... surprise surprise.. I maintain what I always said. Win or lose, I prefer to see the manager on the touchline. I've explained why.

Win or lose, I prefer to see the manager on the touchline. I've explained why. I know your thoughts on it. I just really don't think it has an effect on performance or results and if anything shows that it's us sitting at the top of the table having taken 7 out of 9 points from Burnley, QPR and Reading. Just a little anecdotal 'evidence' and I'm sure there are many, many of us who have played sport on here so I don't want to come across as condescending... I've played a lot of competitive Rugby and Football in my life and chatter from the sidelines is something that I have never noticed. Obviously I can't say this about everyone but once I am in a game situation I have tunnel vision and my mind is completely on the game (and this is at amateur level with barely any crowd noise). Unless a coach has specifically called me over or there is a stoppage in play and they have managed to get my attention I have never clocked anyone saying anything specific and if it's anything but tactical instruction It just goes in one ear and out the other anyway. My point is, I don't think these guys will be affected much 'motivationally' by Pearson being down there or not. They have a job to do which they get on with and if there needs to be tactics delivered Shakey can take care of that fine.
