The way he has got us playing especially at home is the best in the league... He is proving just how quickly he can learn, and we are growing with him. Fantastic manager the best we have had since O'Neill...

We talk about players with "potential"

Nigel has tonnes and tonnes of potential as a manager....

He could be the best we've ever had and tbh, I'm slowly expecting him to be edging closer to MON's crown

Boring?

When was that?

Pretty much every game he's managed us before this season supposedly.

The boring bit for a bit of sarcisism, I have always been behind him was devastated when he went Hull and delighted when he came back... Hull fans thought he was boring and some on here

He's hardly had the team on fire until this season, and has been boring to listen to. Maybe he has had his backside kicked, and come out of second gear at last.

lol

Let's ignore League One, the first Play-Off season and the first half of last season.

I mean, just wow. Out of all the reasons to hate the manager of your local football team... Seriously... lol

May I also remind you that you were one of those who were constantly bumming Pearson for the sack, even up until early into this season?

Anyway, let's all enjoy the turn of the year and look forward to the 1st of January.

If he gets us promoted he'll be on the same level as Brian Little. He's nowhere near MON yet. Not even close.

People seem to forget that we're on our longest spell outside of the top tier ever. We are a big club for this league. Promotion is what you'd expect from any decent manager. It takes a good manager to keep us up, a superb manager to finish top-ten in the prem and win trophies.

Pearson hasn't even met the criteria for 'decent' yet so let's not get too excited.

What does Pearson got to do with our current spell outside the top division? :dunno:

Up until this point this season, he's proven that he's a good to very good Championship manager.

Everything that follows will be a bonus. He'll go down as an excellent Championship manager should we get promoted.

Your comparisons with the names that you've chucked in lack any point. We don't know how Pearson will fare in future seasons with this club, so a speculation is pretty much useless.

It just further emphasizes how blinded some still are by the last glory years under MON and how little credit they give to the current club management.

Promotion is what people expect who conveniently disregard the fact that for the majority of its history, Leicester City FC has been a second division club.

Up until this season his interviews have by and large been dreadful. He has improved vastly this season  both as a manager, and also in giving  interviews.

I still stand by my criticisms prior to this season.

Let's hope for a great 2014.

We've been a yoyo club. All of our best managers have got us promoted and/or managed us in the top division. Pearson hasn't yet, so doesn't go down as a top manager.

The point of comparing NP with other Leicester managers is that it is the same club with broadly the same resources relative to other clubs, so makes for a tidy comparison.

I agree he looks like being a decent championship manager at this stage (wouldnt agree with 'excellent' though), all I'm saying is that he's nowhere near being a Leicester legend yet.

You don't mention the disgrace, and I mean disgrace, of the second half of last season.

You are a great asset to the "little things please little minds genre".Well done sonny.  :appl:

Correct I didn't, because I was responding to this lie...

There have always been games in which we have scored plenty under Pearson. Not that often, but they've been there.

What he has usually been good at is making us defensively strong. This is the backbone of any succesful side. Dont concede many first and foremost then go up the other end and nick one.

Today was a freak result. But a win nonetheless.

So negatives will always outweigh positives in your book. That means it's always going to be nigh on impossible to please you. If one disappointing half-season isn't rectified by 3 other good seasons it's barely worth discussing it with you.

And that's without even starting on you judging his interviews ffs lol

Erm... yes. Obviously. But you missed my point by quite a stretch.

For what it's worth, he's doing a great job at Championship level.

He still has a (long) way to go, but seems to be on the right track. And that's a good thing and should be celebrated, not picked upon.

So far, it's paid its fair dividends to let him stay at the helm. It requires time, patience, virtue and dedication to achieve something longer-lasting.

Pearson hasn't achieved the same success with this club yet, so I don't see the point in comparing managers at all.

Also, I said he could be an excellent manager should he get us promoted. Nothing more, nothing less.

He sounds boring really who cares.

Here's me thinking this was a football forum and we were talking about a manager.

Must be in the wrong place is this the xfactor forum?

Who gives a fvck what he sounds like he's paid to win matches not fvcking sound good ffs
