Aus Fox Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Reading a lot of silly numbers thrown about as the January transfer window opens and reading the Frankie Wortho thread got me thinking, how much would some of our legends be worth today? Who would be the most expersive? Lineker, Weller,Wortho, Chandler, Rowley or someone else?

Carroll fetched £35 million and at the time he was in decent form but Liverpool overpaid massively just because he was English so I don't think it'd be ridiculous to see a figure of £40 million+

I'D be happy to cash in my chips. Infact one season seeing him at his best I'd be happy. You never see Lineker talk about him but am sure Lineker would never have made it without Weller.

Lineker and Weller rarely played together, their respective careers at City only overlapped by about a season
