Rincewind Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 ATOS are ending their contract with the Govt. early. A little persuasion maybe? Call me a cynic but it looks better for Cameron and co. if it is ATOS doing the ending.

ADK Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 I wouldn't want to be associated with it myself. It can't be good publicity for them.
Rincewind Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Well there quite a few doctors that don't want to be associated with them. Read an article about a doctor who used to work for them. Ex navy doctor he was. He said a few times he was asked to alter reports. One of the tests is to walk 200 metres. He was with one examiner and a client was asked to walk out the door and back again. He said that is not 200 metres but was ignored. So it is not the govt I have an issue with as much as the company carrying out the tests. Although they are employed bt the govt. I hope that if they get someone else they will have the appropriate trained staff.. Zing they can access themselves. The threats were wrong but there are a lot of frustrated people about fed up with being ignored. Did you know the centre in Leicester (as well as others across the UK) does not comply with fire and safety regulations. If a wheelchair claimant was on one of the upper floors the fire escape cannot accomondate a disabled person assuming that they follow the rules of not using a lift in case of a fire.
ADK Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 The only people who are qualified to properly assess the disabled are medical professionals. But good medical professionals (consultants in the appropriate field) retail at hourly rates that are probably higher than a months disability allowance. I don't see an easy solution to the problem.

Rincewind Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 chuck them in the deep end at the swimming baths, if they swim they can work, if they don't, they drown. Problem solved Didn't they used to do that to heathens in the middle ages?

[Duncan Bannatyne] wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. You can't just come in here, and make all these claims, without backing 'em up. That's four claims you've made now - that atos are paid per sanction, that atos are asking doctors to falsify reports, that atos are not carrying out tests correctly, and finally that atos don't follow safety regulations in their buildings. Now, how you expect anybody to believe any of that without providing ant evidence, I don't know, and not to mention the slander going on here, so, I'm out, ok. [Evan Davis] it's a blow for Kenny as another dragon is put of by the questionable legitimacy of the entrepreneur's claims. What's more Duncan Bannatyne has raised serious concern about the legality of what kenny has been saying. What can ken do to rescue his chances of investment?
Dr The Singh Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 38 pages in and you're still arguing about a nobody. She is the new Mrs Mattp, so that makes her the foxestalk shag piece
Zingari Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 chuck them in the deep end at the swimming baths, if they swim they can work, if they don't, they drown. Problem solved fish can swim but i wouldn't employ one
purpleronnie Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 fish can swim but i wouldn't employ one Why not? You should mullet over but make sure they're fit for Porpoise.
Zingari Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Why not? You should mullet over but make sure they're fit for Porpoise. some of them must have the potenchial to be carpenters. i think you'd need an additional had dock commitee to make sure no pollacks are dropped . a thread descending into fishy puns , who'd have guessed it
Alf Bentley Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Definitely still up for the pint, I think Walshy said the King Richard III before the game from what i remember? I'm sure we'll have the odd comment when the beers start flowing, I had a pint with Unabomber as well the other week and he might be up for it? Anymore GCers up for it? I'm flexible, but King Richard III sounds decent (never been in there). I could make that for 1pm or whatever, if others are in agreement. There was a discussion between Lamby and Bayfox re. meeting at that place next to the station (Steaming Billy?) AFTER the game. It was in the Charlton thread in the Tickets forum. Could easily make both, one before and one after the match. We could add a comment in there (or elsewhere) if it's all-comers welcome....not everyone might share our fascination with Benefits Street! Talking of scroungers ripping off the taxpayer. Did you see about this bloke? Much worse than White Dee. I'm glad that I don't look anything like him or I'd be expecting a lot of abuse in the street after what he got up to... http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/26297943 Time to get down to the stadium!

Rincewind Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 The Parcel Yard it's called now. Decent place for a pre/post-match pint if you come in by rail. Yes that's it. been in a couple of times. Bit pricey but they had ran out of Steaming Billy last time which is not good for a Steaming Billy pub. May have been when it was Time.
Rincewind Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Ahhhhh, the old 'I need to go to cash point' trick, no worries, Ken, I will buy you a beer!!! There is an ATM at the station and the nearby Tescos if anyone needs them. i'll bring my new camera. I'll leave my megaphone at home. May be something to celebrate see you in there. 5.30sh? I went in. Did anyone else? Beer is dear but I signed up for a loyalty card which brought the price to about £3 so a bit better. I was wearing a dark jacket with a Walkers City shirt underneath. I had glasses on and my hair is turning white. Saw a few fans go in but I don't know what anyone off here looks like.
shade Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Just what this thread needed, another pie chart (and a pointless appalling one to be honest) showing how some other fraud is far bigger than benefit fraud, you missed "most benefits are to low paid workers" btw. We need to be reminded. You have stated before you have been on benefits and now a denial? You need to remember what you are posting on here, am I angry? I don't think so, as I've said numerous times in this thread I generally just laugh at how pathetic these people are rather than get worked up about it, I don't see the point. Your last line yet again shows your ignorance of my opinions, I've stated numerous times I refuse to use big companies like that when I can buy from a local brand or a small business. You don't think high earners would more than cover the low earners in spend, have a look how much tax you pay on a bottle of champagne. You support the policies that allow people tp move their money to different countries untouched anyway so I don't know how you can moan at this. Worst man on TV and seems to have become the go to man of the left wing press, same thing everytime, unions, nurses, doctors, teachers then an attack on bankers and Tories, his politics are from the stone age and fortunately no one ever sems to question him in detail how he would pay for his ideas. Why would he? Knock out a kid or two and the taxpayer will pay for him to have a house, food, Iphone, fags and booze, no incentive. Average single childless Macdonalds worker probably wont be able to afford those. mattP, either you've mistaken me for someone else or you're literally psychotic, or both? I've never stated I've been on benefits, read back, YOU stated I was on benefits because I don't espouse hatred against people who are much, much, much worse off than myself.

I think the planned meet is NEXT Saturday, after the Charlton match, Ken. May well see you there next week, 5.30ish, if you're going again. Will confirm closer to the time.
