Youngy - "We won't lose between now and the end of the season"

But not me ! :(

lol If you want I'll be sad for you too.

I loved Youngy as a player for us. He didn't earn the amount of money thrown around today and then he had the personal problems and the drinking problems which nearly killed the guy. At one time he was working at the indoor cricket down near Thurmaston. I'm glad he's got the RL gig and I wish he'd have won his bet.

The thing with Young is that's he's very much set in his ways. I don't think he's fully realised how much the game has evolved since his playing days.

Have only listened to post match comments and found myself disagreeing with most of it. But that's football.

Heard he's not very well liked at the club. Strolled into the selebrity match at the KP last year like he was royalty apparently along with his son (who he tries getting in everywhere for free) and when questioned he said "you know who I am" not realising that it was a charity event.

Did the same at the town hall on Monday too, lauding it up like he'd lead us to the title.

In his day he was a bigger star/hero than anyone on the team at the moment.

So because it's Alan Young he talks shit, gets paid too much by RL and made a throw away comment. You'd be licking Gary Neville's arse if he made a prediction like that. Alan watches every game, he obviously couldn't see us getting beat and the way we were playing I don't blame him.

No, because Gary Neville know the names of players and doesn't speak utter shite half the time along with Stringer.

You only have to listen to the pair of them for one game to know exactly what they are both like. It's bloody soundbite central from Strigner and one mistake after another from Young.

He may have come close but out of luck rather than judgement.

Youngie not a Leicester fan? :nigel:

Presume he's also an Oldham fan then considering he played for them before us and played more games for them?

He's an ex professional footballer with UEFA coaching badges. It amazes me how people who work in an office or a shop think they know better than him. You might not agree with him but it doesn't mean he's wrong.

Well I certainly know the names of the players better than him, that's a start.

Since when has that had anything to do with which team someone loves?

So he wasn't born here, played for someone else more, played for plenty of teams after... seems to me he's more like a fan for hire.

He's beter than most of the other pundits we've had to put up with.

Maybe he is, maybe he isn't... but I'm not having he's some bloody genius for (almost but actually not) getting that prediction correct.

If my accy bet comes up I don't think I'm a football genius, I think it was a stroke of bloody luck.

As I mentioned earlier he put in for the Leicester job years ago.

Do you have to be born in Leicester or made your debut for them to count as a proper fan?

For me there's no doubt he's a Leicester fan.

. Fair enough you don't like him, but you're better than that final comment Babylon

So he gets a few names wrong, so what?

You said he knows better, I pointed out something he clearly doesn't... that's what.

Actually I don't really give a crap about him, people kissing his arse like some genius piss me off more.

I never said he knows better, I said people assume they know better than him. I wouldn't assume to know better than you on your career.

But you would if, I don't know, you saw me pick up a computer mouse with my mouth and tried to navigate my computer.  You'd think, flipping heck the loon can't even use a mouse how could he do a computer based job.
