Youngy - "We won't lose between now and the end of the season"

Feel sorry for Young. I've read his book; he has no money and this bet would have been life changing . £20k.....

Obviously the players when they were partying don't care about losing as the job is done...

In hindsight, it feels as if the RL callers having a go at Alan Young after the match were simply pissed because they had placed serious money on us remaining unbeaten until the end of the season based on Youngy's prediction.

The **** is wrong with some of you? I'm not a massive fan of Young, but it's like you wanted us to lose so you could say he was wrong.

that is the reality of some of our sad fans. I dont doubt for a second there are still Pearson haters who are ready at their keyboards next season when thing arent going great. Just learned to deal with our fans now.

Forgot about this thread , seems except for a piss up related performance against Brighton Youngy wasn't far wrong , and yet he was slagged off by a lot on here , perhaps he knows abit after all .

No... It was a throw away comment he almost fluked.

£200 is a lot to put on a 'throw away comment'

Obviously getting paid too much then seeing as he was supposedly destitute before the RL gig.

What, you put a £500 bet on for us to go unbeaten?

No,thats what i could have won

Sad for Youngy

But not me ! :(

That Brighton game lost me £500 too!

Gutted

I would've won £350 too if we didn't lose to Brighton.

Cvnts.

He skint for sure. I've met him a few times at games, radio Leicester studios, and also bumped into him in West Bridgford. Always in a track suit because he has no clothes.

Don't get the nasty attitudes towards him. He's a nice chap who knows his football. It'd have been great for him to win. Everyone ridiculed him with his prediction, but he came pretty close!

So because it's Alan Young he talks shit, gets paid too much by RL and made a throw away comment. You'd be licking Gary Neville's arse if he made a prediction like that. Alan watches every game, he obviously couldn't see us getting beat and the way we were playing I don't blame him.

I'm not sure about 'knowing his football', he can't even get the names of our players right half the time. On the odd occasion I'm unfortunate to have to listen to games on RL, I find his thoughts on football to be very outdated. The game has moved on a hell of a lot since his day.

I have nothing against him personally, but I think RL could get a much better 'expert' summariser. I think his knowledge of the game and other teams in the division in particular is very limited. Nothing against him personally, he's been handed a dream job by RL and is obviously making the most of it.
