As we're talking 87, 89 and you were around then you should know. But a bike was the vehicle of choice back in the 60s

It's a shame that when the KP was built they did not do a upper tier and a lower tier like Filbert Street, especially something similar to the south stand.

What a classic film.  lol

Anyone know which ground that terrace is?

I know rotherhams old ground was used for some of the scenes, the bit where gumbo gets a dart in the fizzog is rotherhams ground.

Ah, I'd been under the impression it was Bramall Lane for some reason.

I recently read the book which the film ID is based on and the book is brilliant, some of the descriptions of match day antics are exactly how it was in those days!! The crowds were so low bcos it was risky going to a game and basically you could have got involved at any time or arrested even for doing nothing, I remember like yesterday on a midweek night match against Luton Town walking back from the ground after the match and out of no where a police van screeched round the corner, the back doors flung open and the police jumped out grabbing any one and chucking them into the van for absolutely nothing, that was followed by a stampede away from the ground as more police chased city fans up the road .Everyone was treated like a hooligan by the police and now I look back on it rightly so. Women and children let alone families didn't go bcos it was too dangerous. Having said that for us in our late teens at the time it was a real natural high, like a drug , the adrenaline and testosterone flowing when you walked to the game was something else . The people who go to football generally nowadays are genuine fans and decent family people, they wouldn't put up with being treated like animals herded around like sheep throughout the streets . Consequently we have massive crowds watching some of the best talent in the world in the English leagues and times have changed for the better.Filbo was brill but I still talk about watching matches in pen 3 standing with one arm covering your face for 90 mins as coins rained down for the entirety of the game!!! Let's get real for a second!!!!!

I've mentioned it many times, negative football playing for a draw and hooligans taking over the game were mostly to blame.

This. I got done over by a group of Liverpool yobs during that era.
