Bob Weasel Fox Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 To be fair, they are playing well ohm and away... Oh shit... just noticed its been done already.. What's your name? Henry . . . . .
damolcfc Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 we need to keep 'grounded', any late 'surge' from others can trigger a powerful electrifying run to catch our 'lightning' form. last thing we want is to 'trip'up
weller54 Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Arghhhh... This thread needs disconnecting now!!
WhispyWizard Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Alright, winning against Bolton isn't too hard lately, but I along with many thought that Burnley would have dropped off the pace by now but I actually am starting to believe they're now more of a threat then QPR. Firmly believe that without Austin, QPR are now an average mid table/top 6 team. Also, I was certain Danny Ings' form would drop by now but there's no sign of this whatsoever. I know we're still 8 points clear and this isn't a thread to say that I'm sure they'll catch us but am I the only one that thinks they'll be looking to topple us from now? I don't care if Burnley catch us, as long as no-one else does, they always have goals in them and they know how to take their chances. QPR aren't mid-table after 1 result, they have played Burnley on the same kind of form, and Derby who are on a good run of form, they have had 2 hard games, but are still capable of making the autos.
Guybino Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 I like burnley, I like the way they play and most of their players, would like to see them go up (after us of course!)
HitchinFox Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 They've been extremely fortunate with injuries. Their five key players - Heaton, Trippier, Shackell, Ings and Vokes - have missed only one league game between them this season. If true, this is an interesting stat. Law of averages should (I say should) dictate that Burnley will miss at least a couple of their key players for a stretch at some part of the season. As with Austin and QPR, that could make or break them.
Deucalion Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 My charger broke so I haven't read the whole of this thread but going to add my tuppence worth anyway. Of course we should take Burnley seriously. It is mid-February and they are in the top two. They have also been in the PL more recently than we have. Why wouldn't we take them seriously?

Mickey O'Neil Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 I'll own up. I thought they'd drop off after Christmas (along with us.) I started taking them serious in early Jan. I'm also taking Derby serious as well.
