Due to an unprecedented demand for 2014/15 Season Tickets, opening hours for the City Fanstore and Sales Centre have been extended on Wednesday and Thursday.

Thousands of supporters queued around the stadium on Tuesday to get their hands on tickets – an overwhelming response after a fantastic week of celebrations for the Club.

The City Fanstore will now be open until 8pm and Sale Centre (0844 815 5000) until 7pm on Wednesday and Thursday evening to accommodate the fantastic demand from supporters.

On Tuesday afternoon, the queue at King Power Stadium for 2014/15 Season Tickets was suspended as staff worked hard to service supporters that had queued from early in the morning.

The City Fanstore has seen an unprecedented demand for Season Ticket renewals as well as the 7,000 available to new applicants, of which 800 have been snapped up so far.

Supporters looking to renew or buy a new Season Ticket are thanked for their patience and are encouraged to come back on Wednesday, when the remaining allocation will still be available during these extended opening hours.

They didn't work hard to service those waiting. They got a metal barrier, put it halfway down the queue and told everyone behind it to go away. They should say that! I'm so cross!

Just a question that's probably been answered on another thread.

15 500 season tickets holders.

7000 available

Away fans 3500?

That makes 26000. Where's the other 6k go?.

Single Matchday tickets. The club is legally obliged to sell them and have a cap on Season Tickets, they only need a minimum 5% of the ground available for single tickets, but they'll exploit it because they make more money that way

I've been a fan for a long, long time now and never been able to have a season ticket due to work commitments or other things and tomorrow I'm seriously considering getting one for the first time. Due to changes in my work, as of September I should be free most Saturdays. Have wanted one more than anything for so long. Reckon I'm deffo going to get one tomorrow.

 I have to say that the website is an absolute shocker. Ive been trying for almost 10 hours. the easy bit is getting down the queue. Then it eventually allows you to select tickets - at this point - its all gone wrong for me. I simply cannot add anything to the basket. Just get a twirling wheel as if its doing something when basically its doing nothing - eventually it kicks you off your reserved seat and then leaves you in limbo.

A total disaster!

Somethings never change down the City -

The club will clearly increase the cap when the 7,000 are all sold out.

They've set an initial cap in an attempt to generate hype and panic, which they have judging by the queues. Very good, Susan.

They won't be able to turn their noses up at an extra 2,000 or so STH's paying £410+ a pop.

Sure, ticket holders pay more on a match by match basis, but those willing to purchase season tickets now (and possibly in the future) are the ones that they will want to keep on board.

I seem to recall last time we were in the Premiership we only put a cap on ST sales when the season had began and ST sales had dwindled (albeit under different management).

Feel free to quote and ridicule me if I'm wrong.

Exactly the same thing happened to me.

I nipped in to sort a shirt out today, and spoke to a friend in the queue he arrived at 8:00, when I went in all available staff were on a till and constantly serving people. He managed to get served at 15:00.

I was talking to a club official who said people had been camping over night! It's been a mental day down there. My mate did say that the staff were all very good and slogging away trying to get as many tickets done as possible.

Bloody glad I sat through eight or so years of shit now.

I queued for ages. Got on a few times and managed to click to rebuy my current ST seats. Didn't work.

Get on later in the afternoon and finally get to checkout where I'm apparently rebuying my two seats four times over at a cost of just under £3000!!
