That's not an acceptable excuse when the police call. Hamster porn is degrading and repulsive in equal measure and should be stamped out.

Hamster Porn, it's funny you should pick on that.......

Seriously where would this stuff come from?

I've also noticed some of them are people's avatars on here which I know I've never downloaded how do they get on my hard drive and yet are not 'normally' visible?

It's almost as if every time you google search images the whole lot end up on your hard drive!

Yes.

Go to your browser options or use a U3 drive the next time you search for rodent-related spanky fun..

You looked through all 6000? :o

Nearly through them but it doesn't look like they are there.

You must look through them al thoroughly. I had a similar problem with a camera memory card. I prob had to look through more then 6000, but it was worth it to find the photos. it might be best to try and filter the photos it haas found. You could transfer all th pictures found and copy them to a seperate folder. Then filter the photos to try and find the ones your looking for. You could do this by sorting by size. You might know the rough size of the photos in question (say 4mb) and sort them from biggest to smallest. You could also sort by date taken.

I've managed to find some of the missing photos, but some, although they flash up for a milli-second end up as a grey patch which is unviewable - are these recoverable?

Is it possible to install programs onto an external hard drive?

Yes - instal the program as usual, then when the "select install destination" stage comes up, instead of it saving as default, you can select where to install it.

Alright I'll try it when I get my new one. Do you not have to partition the disk or anything?

Erm... my recycle bin appears to have vanished.

Help?

Well, Green Peace will not be happy with you.

I've done that but the usual uninstall wouldn't remove it, do I have to move it to the C drive to get that to work?

This thread should be renamed for PC Idiots, I'd feel more comfortable with that title. :D

Erm... I'm not entirely sure about uninstalling it, I'd normally just delete the program folder :D

Right, this is going to sound stupid. How the hell do I resize my image on photoshop after I've just cut it out? I've never had this problem before but it's not coming up with the box around it to let me click drag and resize it. :S

EDIT: Done it.

Is it worth considering paying for some software?

I would/will eventually if it doesn't work but it's only half dozen photos, they just happen to be of my grandchildren and my daughter wanted copies of them.
