Maybe try and open it with another program?

If not, try this. Its a JPEG fixer. Might work.

Download

Edit: Er use that if you speak German!

Alternativly use these

http://www.download.com/PixRecovery/3000-2...cdlPid=10506094

http://www.download.com/JPEG-Recovery-Prof...cdlPid=10790537

http://www.download.com/Image-Doctor/3000-...cdlPid=10156872

Thanks for those unfortunately no success.

Download - in German

Alternatively use these

http://www.download.com/PixRecovery/3000-2...cdlPid=10506094 - didn't work

http://www.download.com/JPEG-Recovery-Prof...cdlPid=10790537 - didn't work

http://www.download.com/Image-Doctor/3000-...cdlPid=10156872 - you have to use with PSP or Adobe and it looks like it's for minor doctoring of pictures.

You might have to many programs running. Close some running programs or buy more ram.

Thats not entirely correct, and you should always beable un-do any changes you have made

you can set a system restore to revert back to the settings on a previous date, and always set it back forward to where you started from

Its a very useful tool actualy,i always set it when i am making changes to the PC that i am not sure about, and a few times it has got me out of sticking situations

The only time you should be careful with system restore is if and when you have a had a virus on the pc,other than that its totally safe

At the moment the browser I'm using is Safari as Firefox and IE are both running so slow it's unbearable. I have no problems with Safari though. Any ideas?

Only running firefox (With 2 tabs open) and MSN (Which occasionally does fuk the laptop up) so maybe dunno.

RAM - Been told about buying more ram in the past, As I hardly ever have any memory or the laptops warning me "Low Disk Space" so I have to keep cleaning it out every so often. So what does Ram do? Give you more memory? More space? e.t.c?

How much do you suggest and what prices? If you know of course. I know fuk all about computers.

ram bascially makes the pc run quicker

I have 2 sticks of 512 in mine

You need to know what stick is in yours, and you should be looking to mirror what you have ideally

they are normally about the £20-25 mark, maybe a little more

check what you have by right clicking on My computer, and click properties,I have a 2.8ghz with 1 gb of ram

you can check whats going on on your PC by right clicking on the bottom tab,and selecting task manager, see if anything is hogging your CPU

The SYSTEM IDLE % (at the bottom of the list normalyl should hang around the 90 mark or thereabouts),thats if you are not using any system hogging apps)

You may want to try a do a defrag also

Start/programs/Accessories/system tools/disk defragmenter

(this basically tidies up your Harddrive,as after a while things get stored all over the place, thus you pc spends more time looking for stuff)

This site is useful also, you can run a free diagnostics scan, along with some other stuff

http://www.pcpitstop.com/

Lastly, make sure you havent got any virus

I dont know what Anti virus you have, but i recommend AVG anti spyware (The free version is very good)

http://free.avg.com/

Dont be tempted in running 2 Anti virus at the same time

I have 3 seperate pdf files containing scans with different pages in from a magazine.

Anyone know a way how I can merge these together into one file so the pages can just be scrolled through?

Cheers.

The scroll bar on my screen is playing up. Istead of steadily scrolling up or down, it does it like a frame at a time. I've exhausted my limited knowledge on how to sort this out. Please, is there anyone who can help me?

don't know if this will help.

To change the number of lines that you scroll

Open Mouse in Control Panel.

On the Wheel tab, under Scrolling, click Scroll, and then select the number of lines to scroll with each notch on the wheel.

-or-

Click Scroll one "screen" at a time.

Notes

To open Mouse, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Mouse.

A "screen" is different depending on the size of your window and the program you are using. Scrolling one screen at a time is equivalent to using the PAGE UP or PAGE DOWN keys on your keyboard, or to clicking above or below the scroll bar.

Some programs may limit the maximum number of lines that you can scroll with each notch of the wheel.

If your mouse does not have a mouse wheel, the Wheel tab may not appear.
