Recently downloaded AVG 8.0 the whole package, and eversince i downloaded it, the internet has been shit slow, anyone know how to sort it?

How much ram have you got?.

normally they will slow your PC down a little,but your internet...hmm

try disabling it first,then running the net,see if that makes any difference,and then post back

might just be the way its set up,it might be scanning everything in sight

I had this problem before and took it to Grantham Computer Store and they told me what to do and what it was.

Re-Installing windows is a tech guys easy cop out to be honest buddy

if he said you had a virus,then maybe you did?

I'd like to know what the name of the virus was

how did he charge you btw?,if anything?

He never said but it doesnt allow explorer.exe which is one of the main processes, this means you cannot see the start menu or desktop icons. I downloaded explorer.exe and put it where it should be but that didnt work so we reinstalled.

i sorted it, rang AVG and they said they will have to configure it for me, so they sent me this diagnostic kit, and they will sort it for me!

Now my I.E wont load at all, says not connected to a network or summet, but firefox works :dunno:

I'm on wireless and my computer in my bedroom is connecting to the wireless network but the internet isnt working. I right click the little screen and click "REPAIR" and it still dosent work it's always sending more than receving.

Help please?

Dont really want to sell the wireless. Any other options?

Just like reinstall everything again etc. One of my flat mates had wireless. I dont like it unreliabilty.

Ok, Thanks I tried doing a system restore to monday and that hasnt worked. The problem started Wednesday evening. :(

I'll try reinstalling :)

I'm on my downstairs pc.

Earlier my little sister was sitting with me, she started banging the keyboard and its not letting me type with letters or numbers, volume button works so does the mute one. It came up with some kind of sticky keys message and press cancel to unlock however it didnt unlock. How can i get this message up again.

PS: I've got a wireless keyboard. The keyboard i'm using at the minute is a wired one.

Both of the above sorted.

Keyboard - I unlocked it, plus it needed new battieres.

Wireless problem - I had sky broadband and bt line however we've cancelled both and moved to a different supplier.

I have a problem.

On my emails (outlook) from one sender, I cannot see the pictures within the email. All that appears, is the red cross.

I have tried right clicking 'Show Picture', but this doesn't work.

I can receive pictures within emails from other people, just not him?

Can anyone help me?
