whitlock Posted 11 July 2014 Posted 11 July 2014 Pre-season friendlies are usually boring when you're on the wrong end of a 4-0 thrashing. The Real Madrid game was thoroughly entertaining, though. Yeah, the Real Madrid game was quite decent. Full crowd and being able to see the Madrid stars, but Monaco/Sunderland etc at home in recent seasons have been a snore.
tommyh Posted 11 July 2014 Posted 11 July 2014 The main reson the Monaco game was rubbish because there were no fans there!! Though that because they had just signed Falcao that a few would turn up and generate abit of an atmosphere but no, it was a real poor showing!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 July 2014 Posted 11 July 2014 I'm looking forward to this, suns out guns out
Bayfox Posted 11 July 2014 Posted 11 July 2014 Barca, real. Finally hit the big time and......... stand closed. We should have gone boca or river plate. Or tried tempting bayern or juve. Barca are having a training camp at St . Georges this year. Missed opportunities?

Dickov22 Posted 11 July 2014 Posted 11 July 2014 Hate pre season games. Did a few last season. Won't again! So boring

Sunderland was pretty good - generally got me excited for the season ahead, that and my first look at Knockaert which told me he'd be integrel to our sucsess. These friendlies are still important, and perhaps one of the new boys or youths will step up big time vs Werder Bremen, and take a place in the 18, all positions are up for grabs to Pearson's pre-season plans.

promised land Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 Went to get my ticket today, on sale yet not available for print yet On Saturday I was told it's because they are awaiting new printing machines for the Premier league, these according yo the staff won't be up and running until August 6th, 3 days before the game. They also said that's why I couldn't buy online.
